Harry Smith: Good morning. Open up I want to see this T-Shirt. What does it say?Originally posted by Annie&Hallie'sMom
Early Show breakdown please....from anyone who could watch! (stuck here in an office on a beautiful day!)
Shii Ann: It says "Vote For Me". I was going to wear it if I made to the final 2. But I thought I'd wear it today.
Harry Smith: How do you feel about the way you did finish?
Shii Ann: Oh I loved it. Honestly, I played the game as fiercely as I could. I'm really proud of the way I went. I was the last Mogo Mogo standing... I won an immunity challenge.
Harry Smith: People were like, Shii Ann, you were so in their face to the rest of the people there last week. Did you know you were doomed?
Shii Ann: I knew I was going, I was the last Mogo Mogo. I won it purely due to my will power. I couldn't help celebrating.
Harry Smith: Did you feel isolated?
Shii Ann: I did. It was difficult when no one was cheering me on and being alone on the tribe and everyone telling me: "Well, you're going to go, don't worry...you're off. You're going to eat tonight." I had to win that immunity challenge, and I had to go out swinging.
Harry Smith: You got close last night, it was down to you and Big Tom. Big Tom ends up winning. You had your fire going there, just not quite strong enough.
Shii Ann: My lungs weren't quite as big as Big Tom. I couldn't get the fire started as quickly.
Harry Smith: He wins the IC and you're the last of the Mogo Mogos. I saw you running around like crazy literally trying to light a fire under the others. Was it all falling on deaf ears?
Shii Ann: It was completely falling on deaf ears. There was a strong pecking order within Chaboga Mogo. It was silly for the people low on the totem pole not to flip. I tried to talk some sense into them, but they wouldn't listen. They're content to be fourth or fifth.
Harry Smith: Your monologues last night. You had plenty to saw. Did you feel you had any effect?
Shii Ann: I tried to talk some sense into the people left in the game. I voted last night for the person who I thought had the best strategy, was scheming the best and who was going to go all the way if nobody watched out.
Harry Smith: Little innocent Amber, under the wing of big strong Rob.
Shii Ann: I think Rob and Amber had a very similar strategy to Kathy and I although I wasn't romantically involved with Kathy.
Harry Smith: Tom wins the IC, he's got the power. We were screaming at the TV, Tom take control.
Shii Ann: Tom didn't want to. He thinks he has an alliance with Rob. He didn't want to take the opportunity.
Harry Smith: How sweet was it when your mother came on last night for the RC?
Shii Ann: It was great to see my mom. She doesn't have an iron stomach like myself, so she couldn't eat the water bug. That was fine... I didn't really want her to have to suffer.
Harry Smith: A lot of crying for you Shii Ann on the show.
Shii Ann: This year was very emotional. I was a lot hungrier and a lot skinnier. I was like a big teardrop, a lot of the time, towards the end.
Caller: When Big Tom won the reward and took Rob with him, how come you didn't go along with the people on the island to vote off Rob?
Shii Ann: I did try to make some deals happen with Big Tom and Alicia and even Rupert. And, you know, I actually did get along with some of them. I was quite friendly with Rupert. He was probably my favorite person left in the game. You saw it last night. I did try to shake things up. A lot of people were content with being bottom of the totem pole, 5th or 4th.
Harry Smith: He laid a very good foundation early, Rob did?
Shii Ann: Rob had everyone believing they were in an alliance with him, which is really silly if you watch the history of the way he played the game. What can I say? I can only bring a horse to water. Can't make them drink.
Harry Smith: It was proven that Boston Rob was a snake in the first season he was in. Why is it that everyone is working so hard to make an alliance with him?
Shii Ann: That's a question I keep asking myself. I don't know what kind of VooDoo magic Rob had, it obviously worked, and good for him.
Caller: When you were on Survivor before you played the game very similar by forming weak alliances. If you had it to do over what different strategy would you take?
Shii Ann: I actually did switch up my strategy this time. Last time, I was very outspoken with the tribe, very bossy. This time, I took a very under-the-radar strategy. I couldn't have made it as far without an alliance. I had a very strong alliance with Kathy, which you didn't get to see too much of on the show. And my whole plan this time was to be under the radar, to expect the unexpected and to kind of let other people think they were the boss, and it worked for me
Caller: Hi. You and Alicia seemed to be antagonistic towards each other. Might have advanced had you formed an alliance. What was the issue between you two? I think you really messed up at the end.
Shii Ann: I do not have a beef with Alicia at all. I tried to form an alliance with her on the show before this one and she thought she had an alliance with Rob. She didn't want to hear it. I played as hard as I possibly could. You can't make other people see logic.
