I was sent an online survey yesterday dealing with the Hogwarts Express.

The survey had the typical vetting questions determining whether I was a likely candidate for going to Universal in the near future. Eventually the survey provided a series of ticket options. I chose one of three options and then had to indicate if I would be willing to buy that option.

1) Each choice had one through seven days.
2) The Hogwarts Express was a stand alone option in each case. It differed between n/a, one way, two way and unlimited and varied with ticket days in some cases.
3) For some reason Express Pass was a requirement for each option. The system highlighted one option based on your ticket choice and that was the only option that could be selected.
4) The pricing was all over the place. There were a number of options that I thought were completely unreasonable and indicated so.

So, it appears Universal is looking at a number of options for pricing and admission for The Hogwarts Express.

It also raised a couple of personal concerns. We are going in 2015. We have a couple of days left on Costco tickets. Will we need additional tickets to ride Hogwarts then? I am guessing we will. I'm confused about the necessity of the Express option. This summer was the first trip to Universal Orlando for our family. We stayed onsite for the Express Pass convenience and plan to do so on the next trip. I cannot see Universal eliminating that onsite benefit. It may be that they were testing Express Pass pricing at the same time.

Interesting. No one knows yet as to their plan. But I can almost guarantee that onsite deluxe will still get unlimited express. They are poking around to get a feel for options.

If the resorts eliminated the onsite express option, the resorts would suffer.I doubt that will happen.I am not surprised the surveys went out.How to ticket the Hogwarts express and its connecting the 2 parks is a HUGE issue for them and they need to resolve it fast

i agree the 3 onsite resorts would suffer if they eliminated the express line usage perk.

they would empty out and CBay would be packed.

They just want to know how valuable that perk is. I got that survey and others like it over the years. If hotel express goes away so does they're high on-site occupancy.
