I am surprising my best friends 7 year old son with a trip to Disney via his father and myself. I recently went to Target and I got a black and white Mickey gift bag with black tissue paper and a $50 Walt Disney World gift card.

I had a girl on eBay make a mummy gift card holder with his name on the front. He loves pandas and I found this little zombie panda wallet because we're going during Halloween festivities.

I will put his Park ticket in the gift card holder. This will be placed on top of his wallet wrapped with the $50 gift card inside. At the bottom of his bag will be his Halloween costume because we're going for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.

I don't think this kid has any idea what we've been planning we've been very secretive. We are going to look at Halloween costumes after school.

When we find our Halloween costumes I'm going to say how about we go to another store tomorrow and look at costumes because I want to surprise him with it, I don't want to buy it today.

When we leave for the airport next Thursday I'm going to have his father pick him up and tell him he has a dentist appointment before school. While I'm working overnight his dad is going to put all the stuff in the vehicle to take us to the airport.

On the way there I am going to tell him I forgot something in the back seat can you please reach under and get the bag for me. Inside of the little mummy gift card holder, that has his name on it I will write him a note like "How about we skip school and do something fun."

I don't have kids of my own yet so this is going to give me practice!

Help!!!

I also bought him a lanyard and Disney pins, I will teach him how to pin trade. I will probably give these to him the morning we leave for our first Park and have him practice with me a few times.

I think and I will have a conversation about the really fun things to spend his money on and try to steer clear of the things that are going to break the next day.

He's really a cool easy going type kid. He's kind of like me but in a 7 year old boys body. Everybody calls us twins because we have some of the same mannerisms which is really funny to me.

Hi fellow Buffalonian! This sounds like one lucky kid. Such fun! I think everything you have planned sounds great. If you haven't been to Disney with a kid before you are in for a treat. It so much fun to see things through their eyes. If you want to help him avoid spending money on cheap flashing light things they sell during the evening hours, make sure to stop by Micheals or a Dollar Store and pick up some glow necklaces and bracelets before you go. I know our Micheals in the area has them, I just bought a bunch before my trip last week. They were like $1.99 for 12 or maybe even 99 cents.

What a kind thing to do for this little guy! I would be very sure that he will be happy and comfortable going on a plane without his parents. A surprise could backfire. Also be sure the parents are ok with telling him fibs to pull off the surprise. Most parents are, we are the ones that are not:lovestruc. Love the gift idea!

Thankfully he has been on the plane before he's traveled to Thailand and Norway. His parents were refugees from Burma.

I am a former cast member. I went with my friend in March who had never even seen the ocean this friend is also coming in a week again because I brainwashed him to love Disney.

I get a kick out of seeing Disney through anyone's eyes, especially if they've never been there before. I think that's what made me such a good cast member.

They have to do the my first visit pin and everything. My friend had to do it last trip so they have to do it this trip.

I love seeing locals on this board!!! Last trip we got Illuminations cruise and we shared it with this awesome DisBoards family of four! We also found friend that just moved to Florida via DisBoards that we went out with about three nights of our vacation to dinner and parks!

This proved to me that there are some really cool people on this board.
