Hi everyone!!!

My family is trekking from Eastern Washington to Disneyland this June and I am SO EXCITED! I've been to Disneyland many times before, but this trip my husband and I are taking a bunch of newbies! My mother in law, who knows about the trip already...my 5 year old nephew, who I made a far-too-complicated week-long reveal involving Lightning McQueen and Mater, my almost-2 year old son, and my 14 year old sister-in-law.

My sister in law has never been and really wants to go! She is really jealous that we are going and has NO IDEA that she gets to come too! But I don't know how to surprise her, so I was hoping maybe some of you lovely Dis'ers had some ideas.

She's extremely tom-boy and loves all the disney animals but especially the dogs. Whatever the surprise, I'd love to get it on film!

Thanks in advance!!! :worship::worship:

I got my DGD tickets to a Taylor Swift concert way back when Taylor began touring.
Since DGD lives far from me and I wanted to see her reaction, for the reveal I sent her an email.
It started out like all emails but I put huge spaces between some if the paragraphs.
When she finally got to the end of the email it tells her she's going to see Taylor's concert when it comes to town.
They video her reading the email. I still have a copy of it.
When she reached the end of the email, boy oh boy were those Girlie Screams piercing.

Not sure if you could have your SIL review Bogus Packing list for DLR...
At the end ask her what she's going to add to her bags since she's going too.

Or maybe read an Itinerary of the trip...
At the end ask what she would like to see when she gets to DLR.

On the computer you can have it stretched out so she'd have to scroll down to the BIG REVEAL.

So fun!

I asked my daughter for an idea for a good surprise, she is 15.

Do you celebrate Easter? She suggested a scavenger hunt on Easter, hiding little plastic eggs with clues inside for her to go to the next one, and then in the last egg you could use one of those big plastic ones and put a mini tsum tsum plush of Pluto (or her favourite) with a note that says “Don’t forget to bring me to Disneyland!”

She will think it’s her Easter treat all along, so you may be able to really surprise her at the end!

Have fun!

I'm generally a fan of the "let's take [whoever] to the airport" and then ask the surprisee to get their things out as well... But at 14, my daughter would about die of embarrassment that I packed for her and had to get into her undies drawer. So, there goes that idea.

Sorry, I'm no help.

No good advice, just a hello from a fellow Eastern Washington dweller!

We ordered our son a amazon package (we got him a suitcase for the trip). Inside was some new Disney shirts and pajamas and tickets to Disneyland.

Little did he know the next surprise was that we was going with his best friend and their family (we had planned to go together, but the boys didn’t know) so they saw each other at the airport and it was awesome

Hello from the west side of the state!

we had a friend take us to the airport one year, and then as we got out of the car, asked whose suitcase was this? our friend said "mine, Im coming with you !!" my son was agog..!! you could do something like pack her bag. get a friend to drive you all,, and make her come and then give her a ticket as you arrive at the airport ?? we have also done an April fools reveal. gave the kids plane and Disney tickets.Maps of the parks, and some Disney gift cards.. and of course they didnt believe us.. said it was an April fools joke.. my son believed me when I woke him at 4am lol

These are all amazing ideas!!! I love the idea using the Easter eggs...I think we will do that, with a puzzle piece inside each one that needs to be put together at the end. I'm so excited to surprise her!!! :yay::goodvibes
