Surprised with a trip to WDW for my bday!

Quick backstory -

I started a running back in July and recently got up to running in a couple of 5K's. I said it would be awesome to run the 5K at WDW on Jan 11 - my bday!

I had figured out how we could afford to go but when I tried to convince my DW she sadly said we just couldn't swing it and she felt so horrible about it that I just dropped it. Little did I know that at the moment I brought up my 'plan' to go, she was in the middle of making dining reservations!

Turns out she had already been planning to surprise me with a trip to WDW to run the 5K! I found out tonight at her family's annual Christmas Eve party.

I got a box with the attached poem, along with a RunDisney In-Training shirt!

Needless to say I am overwhelmed and beyond excited. I am usually the one who (over)plans my Disney vacations, so the fact that she did all this, booked the room, registered me for the race, made dining reservations, etc...I just can't believe it!

Anyway, I just wanted to share this AWESOME news and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah!!!

Aww that's so sweet, your DW sounds like a great lady! I can't imagine any better bday gift than a trip to WDW, lucky you!

What an awesome bday present!! It's my dream to go on my bday but we never can because of blackout days at hubby's work.

Congrats!!! Your birthday is the day before my DH's.

Congrats also on the 5Ks. I am preparing to run one myself in May and Aug. I will however run the princess half in the next couple of years!!!
