Surprised the kids, wife, and my readers w/ a 2 week trip to AoA!(*NEW* 11-7)

You are so serious in the Buzz pic. LOL
Looked like a fun last evening.
Neither kid wanted a toy? Did you take their temperature? LOL
Glad you got the toys packed.
just trying to hit a bulls eye.:thumbsup2

i know we were shocked as well, but parker did end up getting the other item at the emporium shortly after.

Trying to figure out how to spell Buzz maybe ???:confused3:rotfl2:
::yes::

Great TR! I'm only half way through but it's been fun seeing your daughter's take on things. We just got back a couple weeks ago from a trip with our little ones (I'm writing my first TR about it) and we're already thinking about going back next year. At that point DD will be about the age your daughter was during this TR. It's been encouraging to see how your DD handled nap time. I'm hopeful that our little girl will be as easy going about it!
it is a great age to take them, she loved it, she warmed up to the characters as the trip went along and i would not hesitate to take a kid at that age again, of course they will not remember it, but us parents do remember it and remember there expressions for everything they experience.

i think the biggest thing with her sleeping was we didnt worry to much about it, we knew she would knock out when she was tired enough...the same with our son when he was 2.5 and his naps there...they jsut fall asleep wherever.

grated you could go back to the room, but we didnt want to take the time for it, and it gave us opportunity to go on the smaller things and just have some one on one time with parker while noelle slept.

Nice job getting one last train ride in! Always a classic.

Love the Mousekeeping fun, and nice work packing. How come things never fit the way they're supposed to?

thanks, if they dont fit the way they are suppose to, that is why they invented duck tape and a good old push it till it fits concept.:thumbsup2

it does make you wonder though if disney measured luggage when they had those boxes made to know that they would fit just so if you put the effort into it, or you could use there mailing service to ship it home and make more money off you.

Awww, the trip is coming to a close. :sad1: It's been fun watching y'all have such a great time together, I can't believe how grown the kids look now compared to this trip! :upsidedow

Can't wait to hear about your new trip coming up!! :goodvibes
they are growing up fast arent they, i will have a few current pics of them when the report comes to a close to show how they have grown.

we are all excited for our next trip.
::yes::

Day 2 comments:
Love Parker’s autograph book! What a great idea!

Good Daddy buying Noelle her own autograph pen.

Oh and I too call DHS MGM. I’m a Disney Purist and refuse to call it DHS so you and I see eye to eye there. Kelly always makes fun of me for it.
we thought so, that way he could see pics with him and the characters and it was much bigger than the little ones you buy there and much cheaper.

i will always call it MGM, just like the people movers they have the correct names and whatever they are called now.:thumbsup2

HAHA about not knowing about the ramp leading to TSMM. It is pretty hidden though.

Love coming across Buzz & Woody meet right when they open. Best time to be there!

Love the pics with the guys! Alex is obsessed with Buzz too for sure!

Love that song! And you’re so right. It’s nice to always have someone on your side to hold your hand when you don’t feel like you can make it alone. Great sentiment!

The small things we usually rush past in the parks are sometimes the greatest! Did y’all find the singing in the rain umbrella?
i wonder what other hidden walkways they will add before our next trip.
yep i would hate to wait in that line later in the day, it got long very fast.

we did see it, but i dont know if i took a pic with it this trip or not.

Love the pictures of Parker and Noelle holding hands. Precious! I hope you’ve framed that one.

BTW, I love Parker’s R2D2 shirt!

HAHA that looks like us giving Alex a drink through straws on his first trip the way you were giving a drink to Noelle through a straw at the ABC Commissary. It was so nice when he finally figured out how to drink through a straw on his own.

Love the pictures of Parker and Sorcerer Mickey!

Haha on the poo meet with Pooh! They always seem to do that at the most opportune time!
it is hanging up in a brother sister frame in our hallway.

she does that same stunt later on the trip for small world, not once but twice...she might have been sending us a message.

Great pictures with Jake and Handy Manny! We missed out on all of the Disney Jr characters on this trip. You’ll see me talk about why in my TR. Ugh!

We haven’t seen that parade at MGM. I must make a note to hit it up next trip.

We also still haven’t seen LMA since they added McQueen. I have a feeling we won’t be either because we won’t be back to Disney I don’t think until 2015 and I know that’s one of the things they are taking out for the park renovations.
uhh ohh, wonder what caused you to miss them, i guess i will have to wait and read about it.

the LMA is really fun, but after seeing it so many times i wont be that sad to see it go especially if that means that cars land is coming in for sure.

Glad Noelle slept when she felt like it. Alex did that too on his first trip at 14 months old and also on his 2nd trip at 2 years old but didn’t have that kind of luck on this trip we just got back from.

Haha love the Funny pic of y’all in front of the Sorcerer’s hat! How Parker and Candi match and you and Noelle match. Too cute!

Love the magic shots too. Especially the balloon one.
sorry to hear he didnt just knock out on this trip when tired, might have been to much sensory overload for him taking it all in

noelle is getting more and more like my personality every day, she is going to be a real firecracker as she grows up.

the balloon one is great, i wish that we were able to get a daytime one of the soarin at epcot, but the didnt find them when it was daylight.

**Definitely!!! ::yes::

ETA: So I hit post before I added anything about your most recent update! Oops!

Anyway! The train is a perfect way to end your last day! Parker and Noelle really look like they had fun!

Love what the mousekeepers did with the animals and towels!! So cute!

The Mickey pumpkin is really neat! What a nice surprise!

Awesome job squeezing all those gifts into your luggage!

The pictures of Parker and Noelle sleeping on your last night are precious! You all had a great ending to your last day!! :-)

thanks, i think a train ride to end it is great as well.

it took all those years of mastering tetris to fit that luggage just how i wanted it, but we got it done.

they did look like they were very content sleeping, and im sure they were dreaming mickey that night.

one more 3/4 of a day left in disney before we leave so more good stuff to come...in tomorrows update

Chapter 73. Working on one more swim.

We all slept in till around 8 and then got up.

We threw on our swimming gear and headed off to get breakfast and to use up our last of the snack credits.

parker picked out a few of the rice krispy treats to take home with the characters decorated in edible sugary goodness on the front, and we have to admit they were excellent even about a month later when we got home still tasted fresh.

the sugar/whatever they really were cookies that are shaped as mickey and minnie heads were the grossest thing i have ever had and we will never get again, the kids did not even like them.

we ate them within a few days of getting home and they were like eating rock hard bread no flavor and in the trash.

the little mickey shaped goldfish however were a real treat and the kids loved those, and they had a great real cheddar flavor to them.

so with our 12 snack items loaded up and bagged we made a few more purchases which included finally talking candi into buying the purple aerial shirt in the gift shop, a set of mickey measuring cups, and maybe a few more small items we hit the food court for breakfast.

which you can see mostly what people got here, cereal for parker, french toast for candi with fruit, and yogurt, and grapes for noelle.

i had the itnernational dish again with the naan bread and loaded up everything inside of it and made a very messy burrito.

after breakfast we went to the arcade to let the kids (mostly parker) play the games from the free money that we had for the arcade from our welcome packet.

here he found his friend from the bus the night before and they followed each other around and played games together for a few minutes till they had to leave to pack and leave.

parker and mommy playing race cars

i really liked the card that your money came loaded on so i took a picture of it.

we played this game that we have never heard of before and had a good time with it.

we then headed back to the room to pack up the rest of the stuff and get everything onto a luggage cart.

we were ready to roll out of room.

i made it to almost the end of the little mermaid buildings and candi said did we pack the shoes?

well i ran back to the room and we did not so i grabbed them and then stuffed them into the suitcases as we were standing there.

candi and noelle went off to the pool and parker and i went to check our airport luggage at the luggage check point.

right out in front of the pool parker tripped and scrapped up his knee, which of course he cried like no other and a lifeguard quickly was there with bandaids and stickers to make him feel better.

i think he gave him about 20 stickers which helped his tears go away.

when we met up with the ladies at the pool noelle and i played in the kiddy area with the soft ground.

she had a blast where this water squirted up and sprayed her from above like rain.

then tried to take down the caution wet floor sign.

great thing about this pool was it never seemed crowded no matter the time of the day.

it was off to play with the other two who were over by the jellys.

the girls sat and worked on there tan, well noelle was in the shade working on hers.

im getting the stink eye from candi, but i wanted to show a picture of the little turtle squishy toy that the kids got and noelle is holding here, they had a blast with those toys everytime we were in the water.

that is all for this part, next up we pool hop and have lunch before our charity arrives.

that stinks are they just doing a refurb on it? i have not heard it was going to be down.

i like that teaching it to fit...:rotfl:

yeah, the railroad will be down from September 30 through November 20. Peter Pan will also be down when we go which is kind of a bummer ... oh well, I am sure we will find something to keep us entertained ;)

Noelle looks like she is having so much fun!

Yes - candi IS giving you the stink eye. :rotfl: Too funny!

Poor Parker. Nothing worse when you are a little kid than falling and getting hurt. It always comes when you least expect it. I am sure the stickers helped. :thumbsup2

Glad that you got some swimming in before you had to leave. That pool looks amazing and I need to go there!

Noelle sure was having fun in the water !!! Loved the STINK eye you got from Candi!!!:rotfl2:The Arcade is a sore spot for us as Kyle is addicted to them :scared1:

Ah departure day . So sad :(

Poor Parker skinning his knees . Glad stickers stopped the tears

Love that Noelle's bathing suit has a belt on it. So cute !!

Candi giving you the stink eye Is hilarious lol

Caught up - Only 2 updates behind.

What a way to end your last day- presents and a train ride.

Way to make it fit. I had to break down a box and squoosh and squeeze to get some vendor items home from my conference but I got it all in.

Love the stink eye. Love all the pool time.

Glad you didn't forget the shoes. :scared1:

Good start to your last day!

I remember seeing those rice Krispy treats and thought they looked quite good! Happy to read you all liked them!

After reading your description of those cookies, I'm really glad I put them back...that just doesn't even sound appetizing! Yuck!

So sad to be loading up that luggage!

It's good to read that the stickers helped Parker feel better after scraping his knee! :-)

That soft ground kid area is really nice! I can totally understand why Noelle liked it so much!

In fact, that whole pool area is amazingly detailed and beautiful! It looks like everyone was having a fun morning!

What a fun day at the pool, Dan.

Noelle certainly does love her pool time. :goodvibes

Poor Parker...he's had a rough go of it this trip. I'm glad the stickers cheered him up.

Wow, what a final day! Casey, Jr. is always a great way to end a park day, slowing down a little and lower the stress level! :thumbsup2

Loved the little touches Mousekeeping left for you, and too funny about the stuffed cuddlies gathering around and turning the TV back on while you were away! :rotfl2: I guess the Mickey in the window was supposed to be playing lookout like in Toy Story so they wouldn't get busted, but he must have been a little slow with the warning! :goodvibes

Great job with the ninja, tetris-style packing while the kids slept!

I totally agree about those cookies. They are absolutely horrible, and I will never again waste money on one! :sad2: Your description is spot on!

Glad you remembered the shoes before it was too late and the luggage was already checked in for the plane, or even worse on the way to the airport! Looks like some nice pool time to end your trip, even WITH the stink eye!!! :lmao:

parker picked out a few of the rice krispy treats to take home with the characters decorated in edible sugary goodness on the front, and we have to admit they were excellent even about a month later when we got home still tasted fresh.

A month? Let's just ignore that ingredients list then.:rolleyes1

after breakfast we went to the arcade to let the kids (mostly parker) play the games from the free money that we had for the arcade from our welcome packet.

Woohoo! Free money! :woohoo: I'd be at the air hockey table.

i think he gave him about 20 stickers which helped his tears go away.

How come we don't get stickers when we hurt ourselves?

im getting the stink eye from candi, but i wanted to show a picture of the little turtle squishy toy that the kids got and noelle is holding here, they had a blast with those toys everytime we were in the water.

Man, what did you say to Candi?:confused3:rotfl:

yeah, the railroad will be down from September 30 through November 20. Peter Pan will also be down when we go which is kind of a bummer ... oh well, I am sure we will find something to keep us entertained ;)

ah man two of the classics, at least carousel of progress will still be up.

:thumbsup2
yeah you "might" find something else that you can do.
:thumbsup2

Noelle looks like she is having so much fun!

Yes - candi IS giving you the stink eye. :rotfl: Too funny!

Poor Parker. Nothing worse when you are a little kid than falling and getting hurt. It always comes when you least expect it. I am sure the stickers helped. :thumbsup2

i get the eye alot, :rotfl:

stickers and mickey work for anything, mickey is already bribing the kids to be good for our next trip.

Glad that you got some swimming in before you had to leave. That pool looks amazing and I need to go there!
it really is a fun pool, so big you dont bump into anyone, and very kid friendly with the zero entry area.

Noelle sure was having fun in the water !!! Loved the STINK eye you got from Candi!!!:rotfl2:The Arcade is a sore spot for us as Kyle is addicted to them :scared1:
she has a blast in any water..both kids are water babies

that cause the stink eye wasnt directed at you.
;)

Ah departure day . So sad :(

Poor Parker skinning his knees . Glad stickers stopped the tears

Love that Noelle's bathing suit has a belt on it. So cute !!

Candi giving you the stink eye Is hilarious lol
i know departure day just stinks doesnt it.

noelle needs to make a fashion statement even at 1 :rotfl:

of course the ladies think the stink eye is funny, you are the ones who give it the best. a stink eye from a man just doesnt work the same.
:sad2:

Caught up - Only 2 updates behind.

Love the stink eye. Love all the pool time.

Glad you didn't forget the shoes. :scared1:

taking apart boxes is allowed, as long as everything fits you are good.
:thumbsup2

i knew you would love the pool time.

i know, it would make getting through security much faster, but i prefer my tennis shoes.

i was really happy with the rice krispies, i will get them again, the cookies maybe if i need coasters to put under furniture to slide them around i could use those in the future.

i want a soft foam area like that in the adult areas as well, makes walking on the hot ground much easier.

we had a blast that morning.

What a fun day at the pool, Dan.

Noelle certainly does love her pool time. :goodvibes

Poor Parker...he's had a rough go of it this trip. I'm glad the stickers cheered him up.

she loves the water, but you have seen that at the fountains in millenium park.

yep it was a little bit rough for him at times, but he still had a blast skinned knee and all.
