Surprised at the MVMCP ticket scalping

I was hoping to go to the 11/7 MVMCP but only got confirmation that the rest of my party could go after they were sold out. Someone else with a similar problem was told to look on ebay. I've been watching for the last week and saw 3 adult and 1 child tickets go for $1550 and just saw another auction for 4 tickets at $540 with 6 hours left. I'm surprised that Disney doesn't ask that these auctions be taken down, and even a little more surprised that since they are making so much money that there aren't more.
Oh well I wanted to go but it really isn't worth almost $400 per person

Last year friends of ours were able to buy them from Kissimmee guest services after they were sold out. Not sure if there was a markup or not.

I can't decide if it's worth going again (we went last year) for the actual cost. I can't even fathom paying those prices to go.
