SURPRISE!.......You forgot the WHAT!? A November 1st-11th 2012 TR* BIG UPDATE!!2/3

Poop. That’s what interested her.

It took about 20-25 mins, but soon we got to the boarding area. She was a bit hesitant, and I asked her if she was sure and she was. I could tell she was very nervous.

IMG_0339.jpg

We took off and it wasn’t too bad, I snapped a couple pictures with my phone, and I even got a smile from her.

The tracks are gone! Oh NO!

IMG_0336.jpg

There’s that naughty Yeti!

And this is where Kadence got unsmiling fast. She told me she was mad at me. She gripped my hand so tight, and screamed her little head off as we took that plunge down.

When we stopped she was kinda wobbly, and turned to me and said, “Can I get a Yeti now?”

We looked around the store and she picked out the Yeti she wanted

By then she was back to herself, and even proudly posed in front of EE.

She looked back at it and said I am never riding that again. We’ll see, her cousin is coming along this Nov and she is a daredevil and wants to ride it. She even asked recently if she did ride, would she get another Yeti. I told her she could.

Way to go Kadence! She's one brave girl to have gotten on Expedition Everest! My John hates it with a passion...said it's too jerky and makes him feel weird. I'm anxious to see if Kadence will ride EE again when ya'll go back. Nothing like a little peer pressure to make the gutsiness come out.;)

She's pretty proud she did it, but even now she's saying she won't ride again. Then she tells her cousin that they will have to hold on tight. :lmao:

I personally am not a fan of EE, but I do it for the kiddos. That and Dramamine.;)

My daughter is a total chicken. She won't try any coaster at all.

I think I am going to make her do Barnstormer, at the very least! I don't even think she knows what she is afraid of exactly, since she has never tried a single one.

I'm also kinda being a little evil and fibbing a bit, because I want both kids to try Splash Mountain. I just keep telling them "Its nothing but a boat ride through a cave, like Pirates, just that one big drop at the end and that's it".

You and me are a lot alike! :rotfl: I told her the same about Splash, and she is wanting to do it. Boy is she in for a surprise.

Kadence is afraid of a lot of things she's never tried, even foods. Once I kinda "make" her, she usually finds out she likes it. I made her try beef stroganoff a few years ago, she cried and told me it would by yucky, now she loves it and asked for it for her b-day dinner last year. Weird kid. :)

Our daughters sound a lot alike. Allison refused to try mashed potatoes. Mashed potatoes! The plainest food on the planet. And now she loves them.

Here is the chicken in question with her brother on last year's DCL cruise:

Way to go, Kadence! Hahaha, she's a lot like me. I used to do anything for a stuffed animal! Hahaha. :)

What an amazing trip through New Fantasyland! You were so lucky to get in during one of the preview days, because once it opened for good it was just wall to wall people. 5 minutes for the LM ride? :yay: It was around 120 minutes every time we checked when we were there. So we only did FP. I enjoyed your photo of the little blue crab since we didn't have any chance to see him!

I can't believe we missed out on the Chip magic shot. That's adorable!

I love the shot of NFL from behind Gaston. Great idea!

What a bummer that Gaston's Tavern was so busy. We ended up spending most of a morning EMH in Gaston's Tavern and it was the only time we could even get in the door. But that morning it was fairly empty since most of the smart planners were off riding stuff.

And Dumbo was your movie that nigh? Awww....... I would have totally had to stay and watch. :goodvibes

We love Flights of Wonder. Too funny that Kadence was delaying the big decision on EE. And what an awesome shot of the bird with the dollar! Did you not volunteer when they asked for someone with a camera to come up on stage? I tried last time but didn't get picked. Maybe next time.

LOL at the photo of Kadence looking all scared in front of EE! :lmao:

I can't believe you got her to the loading platform then asked if she was sure. At that point, I just push and say "Let's go!"

I have to say, her reaction totally caught me off guard. I thought once you got her on, she'd be fine. Now I feel bad for playing a role in getting her on there go begin with! :lmao: I hope the cousin helps to get her back on. I'm really glad she got her stuffed yeti though! :dance3: She definitely earned that one. Tell her Katie and are are both proud of her.

Maybe her desire to add to her Yeti collection will do the trick. I usually just say "Honey, that ride's been open X years and they haven't lost one yet!"

That's was a great update. Your pictures really captured the highlights of AK, which I think is the most "photogenic" park! Loved them all. Even though the lion was a bit snobbish, at least you got a great picture! Nice job!

I also love your pictures of EE framed through the trees - nice!

I love the Malarajah Trek at the AK. Love the tigers and those flags - lovely.

Rock on Cadence for riding on EE! :thumbsup2 It's a great ride, although that backwards in the dark can be a little scary. I hope she rides again in November. Love the Yeti choice! So cute!

Great updates... I loled at the Gorillas ignoring you pics!
luvin the bird made out of the leaf thing.
Well done Kadence on conquering Everest. That's another one of my not in a million years rides :)

You know, I look back on this and remember how much I had hoped we'd get in and talking with you about how lucky you were that it would be opened during your trip. It was the most awesome thing that we were able to get in and do all we had done. I'll be reminding Kadence of our luck while we are standing in our lines waiting to ride it once!

I have lots of the blue crab! He was kinda cute.

I can't believe we missed out on the Chip magic shot. That's adorable!

I didn't even know it was a magic shot at first, I just thought they were taking pictures of the JOTLM statue and sign. More luck!

I love the shot of NFL from behind Gaston. Great idea!

Thanks! Kadence was asking me why I was taking pictures of his butt.
:rotfl:

There were lots of people sitting and staying in Gaston's chair, so we gave up.

And Dumbo was your movie that nigh? Awww....... I would have totally had to stay and watch. :goodvibes

That was the one thing Kadence kept asking to do, watching the night movie. I don't know why that was such a draw for her?

Oh, she was great at putting it off, I loved how she found a water fountian to play in, she even said it was a stall.

I did raise my hand, but no luck.

LOL at the photo of Kadence looking all scared in front of EE! :lmao:

I tried to get her to show the rock sign, but she said it wasn't feeling that.

I can't believe you got her to the loading platform then asked if she was sure. At that point, I just push and say "Let's go!"

:lmao:<----

Yup, she was mad at me. It was the drop that got her. I was honest about everything about the ride except that part. I thought the backwards part would have been the kicker.
Don't feel bad, she is glad she got her Yeti, "just like Katie" and keeps telling her cousin that she is thinking about riding it so she can have another one.

She told her cousin all about Katie and you last week. You taking the best pictures and make awesome dresses, and Katie is likes to have wild BBB hair! :thumbsup2

Maybe her desire to add to her Yeti collection will do the trick. I usually just say "Honey, that ride's been open X years and they haven't lost one yet!"

:rotfl2: I'm gonna steal that line!

Thanks!:goodvibes I love taking photos in AK, it's more serene and the feeling is so different.

She is feeling pretty proud that everyone is giving her the thumbs up for riding, I will have to re-show her this just before we leave in Nov. ;)

Great updates... I loled at the Gorillas ignoring you pics!

Well done Kadence on conquering Everest. That's another one of my not in a million years rides :)

I think they have had their back to us every time we've been there. I'm beginning to think it's me!:lmao:

Kadence brought that bird to school along with her certificate that she learned about Thailand, and her teacher was impressed. Very educational, Go Disney!

It's not my fav ride by any means. It the drop that gets me too!

Great updates! So proud that Kadence went on EE! It's one of my favorites!

Thanks!:goodvibes It was proud she did it do! Was it bad of me to laugh at her when she got mad at me?:lmao:

Now that we had been all rollercoastered up, it was getting towards lunch time and we wanted to try a Restaurantosaurus.

DSC09585.jpg

Kadence was thrilled with her kid’s meal in a bucket! She actually carried her Yeti around in the bucket the rest of the day!

DSC09586.jpg

I got a Chicken Caesar salad and Cheesecake and John got a Bacon Cheeseburger, fries and Chocolate mousse. Sorry no pictures, Photobucket seems to have eaten them...

It was good, no complaints, the bucket was the highlight.

After we ate, we headed over to DinoLand

John and Kadence climbed aboard the Triceratops Spin. I rode behind them

DSC09598.jpg

Then I got to ride the ride I wanted to, Dinosaur. No one wanted to join me, so agreed to meet up afterwards. I think they got a treat to share, but since John isn’t a picture taker, we’ll never know

It took about 30 mins for me to ride, but I enjoyed it and even managed to catch my ride photo, redneck style! What a dorky look!

Cont….

Our next stop was the Festival of the Lion King show. I only took a few shots with my phone, as I’ve taken so many in the past visits and I just really wanted to enjoy the show.

So we started heading back towards the entrance of AK, and Kadence saw Baloo and King Louie so we got in line to meet them.

Photo0998FourBySix.jpg

Russell and Dug were meeting as well, but when we got close, they shut the line down. Most likely for the parade. Oh well. We stopped for a PP in front of the tree

Photo1005FourBySix.jpg

And as people were lining the streets for the parade we were making our plans to leave, WE had an ADR for dinner at Chef Mickey’s at 5:00 and I didn’t want to take the chance of not making it due to buses, as the deluxe resorts seemed to have the worse bus service. The first floats of the parade came into view as we left the park. I found out just recently, that the Christmas version of the Jungle parade started the very next day. I wish I would have caught that!
We stopped for a PP just outside the park and he took some very nice photos of us, which I’m grateful for as I do not end up in many of our photos ever.

Awww, I think the first picture of just the 2 of us in years!

Photo1015FourBySix.jpg

He took Kadence aside and took many photos of her as well! What a nice surprise!

Bye Animal Kingdom! See ya next year! The crowds weren’t bad and the weather perfect.

What kid doesn't like a meal served in a bucket? It's amazing the little things that make 'em smile.

The Photopass photographer was really sweet to take a lot of pictures of ya'll. Usually, they just snap a couple and move on to the next. By the way, tell Kadence that I'm lovin' her flip-flops.
