She's a very lucky little girl who gets spoiled by her Gramma. The iPod was a birthday gift given early, really for the trip, but dropped off to Kadence after she was too sick to trick or treat here at home. Nice treat huh?

I’m so sorry this is going so slow. I’ve been trying to get things done for the holidays, as I'm sure we all are, and I think I’m going more backwards than forward. But, a break to immerse myself back into Disney is just what I need!

On to our first full day, Nov 2nd.

This day I planned as our resort day, with the MNSSHP party this night. Instead of sleeping in, I decided (months ago this was a great idea) an early morning ADR for breakfast was in order.

Chef Mickeys , at 7:40 am. WHAT! Believe me, I tried to change it to a later time, but never could get past 8 so I gave up.

So up we got, I jumped in the shower and realized UGH, I forgot the dang shampoo at home! This was gonna be fun trying to unknot Kadence’s hair without conditioner! I’ll have to buy some in the gift shop.

Ready and out the door at 6:45. By 7 the MK bus arrived, we had just missed the 6:30 am bus, but that was OK because would have been too early.

We had another great bus experience this trip, as the driver took us right to the Contemporary. We headed up to the 4th floor, checked in and got our picture taken with my camera, (we didn’t buy the PP one)

ps, you will notice a trend with John's eyes. He always blinks with a flash. I don;t have any pictures of him with open eyes when a flash was used.

A wonderful friend was so kind and borrowed us some custom outfits for this trip, (Thank-you so much Janet!! This Chef Mickeys outfit was one of them, and it was a huge hit. So many compliments and smiles came her way.

We didn’t get a chance to get food right away, as the characters were just tables away starting with Goofy. He admired her autograph book, as his picture was in it on a CM themed page.

Mickey was about 5 tables away, so we quick ran up and filled a bunch of plates with food and got back to the table just in time for the celebration song to come on, and out came Kadence’s Birthday cupcake!

Then the Main Mouse himself stopped by. He loved her outfit, they had a nice interaction.

I seen Minnie on the way, but they went on break and I was happy because it gave us a chance to eat!

Then it happened, the conversation started. Innocent enough, little things, what was going to happen during the day and night.

WAIT!




My stomach dropped, did I? I must have, I don’t remember packing them! John, check your wallet! Nope, don’t have them!




NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

















I forgot our MNSSHP & MVMCP tickets at home!



CRAP! (See where she gets it from!) What do I do?

Text Jen my TA! No wait she won’t get it, she’s on a plane headed our way!

Contact the next expert, Janet! Please be there, I know you’re busy. Praying might have happened at that point.


She got my message, told us to check at the front desk when we got back to AoA.

They may be able to help us. She thought we should be able to get them if we have our CC info which we had.

I just felt awful, I’ll be honest it kinda wrecked the rest of the meal for me. I didn’t let on to Kadence, but I couldn’t eat, my stomach was in knots. I felt like a total idiot. Then I started thinking we were going to miss MNSSHP, but maybe we could have someone back home could break into our house and overnight the MVMCP tickets to us.

I didn’t even notice the characters coming again. Donald came up and just stood there with his hands on his hips. He started pointing at the Chef hat Kadence was wearing! He shook his head, and made her take it off! Once she did, he hugged her, and made sure to show us when he signed the book, the #1 he wrote next to his name was noticeable!

Minnie was next and was sweet. Made the heart sign and pointed to the outfit. Kadence was loving this. I still can’t thank Janet enough, Kadence was on cloud 9.

And lastly Pluto came along, and Kadence just loves bow he signs, with the book on his nose. She was thrilled with all of the character interaction with this meal and I’m glad we kept it. The food was good, normal breakfast fare, and of course the Mickey waffles were soft and wonderful.

We using the dining plan to pay, and made haste to get back to AoA to see what we could find out about our tickets.

We took the monorail to MK, and then headed to the bus stop. Here it is, #16. Here we are with all of our friends……..

Kadence felt the need to check each row. I’m so glad she was enjoying herself. She lifted my mood a bit.

Then she got daring and unhooked the chain!

While on the bus, I got message from Janet saying we could probably ask at the desk at the CR. Why didn’t we think of that! Clouded judgment, on my part, that’s why.

An empty bus and a cute kid.

We arrived at AoA, and we stopped at the front desk and while the lady was pleasant, she only could tell us we needed to go to guest services at any park. Now I wish we would have asked at the CR, and then we could have just hit up MK’s guest services.

John and I decided instead of dragging Kadence all over, he would go to whatever parks bus pulled up first and I would stay with Kadence and let her swim which is what our plan was anyway.

All of a sudden my phone went off. JEN!!
She told me to look in the wonderful travel agenda book she prepared for us, the confirm # for the tickets was in the there! We just about ran to the room, and there it was! I told her that I loved her at that moment. LOL!

John took the info with him, and Kadence and I headed to the Big Blue Pool.

It was so cute on her! She loved wearing the hat!

We used the shampoo that was in the room, but I had to buy a conditioner and I think I paid 2.99 for a tiny little travel sized one. I just used it for her hair, because I didn't want to waste money on more if I didn't have to.

Yeah, it was about 2 months before the trip when I took another look at my ADR's and I thought I went a bit crazy on that one. I should have made it for 9:30-10am. She did look awesome and she really had fun with the characters because of it!

I could NOT believe I did for get them! Jen was the hero of the day!

Kadence was relieved to be able to swim and not be dragged around. Lots of pool pics to come!

Carey, I'm caught back up with you and hope to be caught back on Jen's TR soon as well. I'm stll dragging and trying to finish Cristmas shopping all at the same time. Good thing my little one has graduated to helper elf status, or I'd be in BIG trouble!

What a bummer to finally make it all the way back to that room only to find out you had to hoof it all the way back up front again. YIKES! I'd be a little frustrated with that.

If it helps any, we decided there just aren't any good room locations back in that section. It's all just gorgeous, but not convenient. Even the rooms that are closer to the LK section require that you backtrack to mid-building to get to the walkway.

I hope you know that your ticket snafu helped out my friend on our trip. She got to the MK only to realize she had left her party tickets back in the room. I was happy to be able to direct her to guest relations with her cc to get them reprinted instead of going back to the resort.

Tell Kadene she does that skirt set proud. And I loved her own personal installment!

Even though I KNOW there is always a way for Disney to find your tickets in their computer, I would have been in full on spaz mode over not having them.

Our last trip, we went with NO physical tickets for the parks or MNSSHP and were able to get them at guest services with no problem. I think the only time you would not be able to retrieve them is if you don't buy them from Disney. However, we bought tickets for our second trip from AAA and DH had the receipt and we were able to get a replacement that way.

But it always feels better to have them in hand.

Don't feel bad about the TR moving along slowly. I think we're all in the same boat overwhelmed getting ready for the holidays. I have been 'finished' 4 different times now and keep remembering just one last thing that I 'must' get.

Oh no! I feel so awful for you that your forgot your tickets. I can just imagine how ill you felt and how it spoiled your breakfast.

I love Kadence's outfit, especially the skirt.
