We are going to Disney in Sept. My girls do not know about it and I dont plan on telling them until we get to the airport. Even though I really want to tell them so I can threaten them if they do not behave they are not going.:rolleyes1 Now I am thinking maybe I want to do something then just were going to Disney at the airport. Maybe like Mickey ears, or something. Any ideas that are budget friendly?

We did this several years ago...surprised our kids with a trip to Disneyland. We drove and along the way I had little hints that I gave them and some things to unwrap. Maybe stop by a travel agent and pick up a brochure on Disney World and tuck that and a Princess shirt in a gift bag for when you get to the airport? I know right now our Disney Store is having an incredible sale!

I know about the sale I got five shirts each for them for the trip. They were with me at the time and keep asking to wear them. I tell them that it is for something special that I have planned for them.

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1312518 You might want to check out this thread. :) It is KOTS ... a lot of us that are planning on suprising the kids. :)
I have been gradually picking things up on clearance and little cheap Disney things from Walmart, Dollar Tree, Dollar Store, etc. I bought the kids each one of the Pirates messanger bags at disneyoutlet.com for 9.99 each. I have a Disney box under my bed that I have been stashing it all. :goodvibes:

We are also surprising our DD this December. This will be our 5th trip to Disney World, so I'm having a hard time keeping it from her. :yay: We're just going to tell her we're going out to dinner, then just drive to the airport. She'll know exactly where we are going once we arrive at the airport (we don't fly anywhere else but Disney!). I'm going to create a kid-friendly itinerary for her to browse during our flight and a bag full of Disney goodies. She'll be so excited! I cannot wait!!

You people must have much more self-control than I do. There is no way that I wouldn't let the cat out of the bag before going to Disney. I'm actually surprising our DH, DS and DD with gift baskets made by Memories by Betsy (www.memoriesbybetsy.com) which are going to be delivered to the resort on our arrival and it is taking everything in me to not tell them.

The only way I think that I could contain myself and not tell my kids about a trip to Disney World would be to not know about it myself. :) I'm not really sure how I could work that out. Hint, hint, DH :rotfl:
