HELP! I need ideas to totally surrise DS7 the evening before or the morning of the trip. I have made a pretend, "ticket good for 1 trip to WDW", but am not sure how to present it. Letter from mickey in the mail, surprise gift bag, I even thought of having his Toy Story figures holding it as if they were playing on the floor and brought it. That would be a fun thing to come home to after school... :)

Let me hear how you have surprised your kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we are surprising DD for her 6th birthday with a trip and we're going to be picking her up from school early the day we leave. I planned on making an autograph book and having it wrapped up and giving it to her as we're leaving. I hope she'll get it just by opening the book but I don't know. I'm open for some cool ideas too. As we'll be leaving straight from picking her up from school, I don't have a whole lot of creativity to put into place since we'll be in the car. But I'm open if anyone has some ideas.

I like your idea of having his toy story figures playing and bring the ticket. That's a cute idea.

Last year we surprised DS for his 6th birthday. We had his birthday party the weekend before we left (about 5 days before his actual birthday). The last present he opened was a big box. When he opened the box, 3 Mickey Head latex balloons floated out and there was a note that read "Surprise! We are going to Disney World on Tuesday...." I had a clip art of the characters at a birthday party and the Contemporary Resort logo on it as well. The look on his face was PRICELESS!!!!!!

Those are both good ideas for surprises. Last year when we surprised him, we had wrapped up a TShirt that I had made that said,"going to celebrate my birthday at Walt Disney World", and a stuffed toy of his favorite character. He ended up carrying it around the parks and we have lots of pics of him and his buddy toy. The autograph book will be good too to break the surprise! Shell be so excited!

I love the balloon idea as well! Maybe if I do the toy story characters, they could hold a few balloons as well. That would look festive!

I am surprising my son with a trip in august, and am going to do a scavenger hunt with envelopes that will have letters to spell out words, I think I'm going to write "We're going to disney world" I'll set it up for him to find the morning we're going. Our flight isn't till 1pm. If the halloween party starts sept 3 I'll make it a pirate theme, and have a pirate costume for him, or a new t-shirt and hat.

I'm so excited to surprise him. I was going to just drive to the airport and let him figure it out, but after I thought about it I thought he'd be sad if he doesn't say goodbye to his guinea pig and let the guinea pig know that he'll be away for a week.:rotfl:

I love reading everyone's ideas.
