I suppose that maybe your brain was trying to warm you up for your occasional "nighttime naps" once you get to Disney!!! But seriously! It's nearly impossible to sleep before a trip. Sometimes I get so excited still a few weeks out that I have trouble already!

Why do I not partake in a monthly sushi night?! Get it together, Tracy. Sheesh.

We just got home from DL last night but I wanted to say have a great trip!!!!!!!

I would get like that MONTHS before my September trip. It gets ridiculous in this head of mine.

In a little over 12 hours from when I'm writing this, you'll be arriving on Disney property.

I am going to Disney World TODAY!

Hey, ya'll! I loved all of ya'lls well wishes posts yesterday and this morning... You folks are the BEST!!!!!!

The PLAN for today was to sleep until about Noon (which is usually NO problem for me at all), and then leave my apartment around 1:30pm to go pick-up my rental car. But at 9:30am, that pesky Brain of mine kicked on and my eyes popped open, and I've been awake ever since. So now I'm just flipping channels on TV and trying to kill time! Good opportunity to do one final big PTR update, right?

So... This happened after work yesterday:

Walmart was sold out of Frogg Toggs AND baby stroller fans. This was Plan C for coping with the heat.

Actually, I've been threatening to chop it off for a long time. It was so long and unmanageable, and I ALWAYS wore it up in a clip on top of my head because I couldn't stand it. I figure, no time like right before a scorcher of a Disney trip to take the plunge! This is the shortest my hair has been in 15 years, but I'm getting used to it!

And of course, it's NOTHING like what I asked for, either. I actually brought a photo with me and was like "This. Do this. No more, no less." So... She cut it about 3 inches shorter than I asked for, and in a completely different style that is no where even remotely close to what I wanted. Oh well. I'm not terribly fussed about it. It'll grow, and it FEELS amaaaaaaaazing!

On my way home from errands last night, I swung by my grandparents house to show off my new hair. Which was risky, I knew my Nana would either love it or hate it, and be very vocal either way. Turned out that she loved it, though! Hallelujah! And the coolest part was that they unexpectedly handed me $100 bucks to help with my trip this weekend. SCORE!!!

Which brings me to this morning...

All packed and ready to roll! My Mama will be here in about 2.5 hours to whisk me off to pick up my ride from Enterprise, and then I'll start my trip down, with my sights set on Boma! OM NOM NOM!!!

Thank you SO much for all of your love and support through this rollercoaster ride of a PTR, ya'll! I'll probably reply if anybody posts before time for me to leave (I'M SO BORED RIGHT NOW), and I'll most definitely try to check-in tonight just to report that I made it safely, but that will likely be it for me until I return home on Monday. I hope everybody has a FANTASTIC weekend!

I LIKE IT!!! that cut really frames your face nicely. So purdy.

I'd been trying to let my hair grow, haven't cut it in about five years, but with the neck dissection surgery, it's begun driving me crazy. I can't comfortably lift my arm to put it up or braid it nicely, and it's so hard to resist the urge to lop it off. I might cave and do it soon.

I've had a few girlfriends comment on FB (I posted that same photo above) about how apparently short hair is addictive, because it so much easier to take care of. So far, I'm inclined to agree with them!
