I personally would not try to do the parade taping, it takes away from the magic of the parade. They have to back the floats up many times to get the shots they want, they want the parade watchers to stay put, and it would eat up precious park time since it takes several hours to do the filming process.

That was really really really unfair of your dad to do that to you. Sometimes it's really hard to be the grown-up and do the right thing.
his older brothers and it was DH's birthday, so although he volunteered to stay in the room with DD, I insisted that he go out and enjoy his b-day with the boys and my friend and her family. I have to admit, I shed just a few tears but I knew it was the right thing to do, and the boys ALL had a wonderful time.
