Hi All,
So I have a bit of a predicament. We are coming to WDW the first week of December, and I would like to do something to surprise DH, as this trip is our 5th Anniversary vacation!
I have checked out the Disney Floral and Gift website, and I was wondering if any of you could give me ideas or feedback on what you have done in the past, or have thought about doing in the past.

DH is 30 and I am 27. It will be the first trip for both of us to WDW, but we have both been to DL in the past. Any help is appreciated!!!!!!

:wizard::thumbsup2:)

From a guy's point of view, I would say take him to Shula's for dinner as long as he likes steak:thumbsup2

We are going down Wednesday - Monday and my fiance's birthday is on Monday. I did order the snack bag that looks like Mickey's outfit from Disney Floral. I know my fiance loves the snacks in the bag and it will be nice to have food in the room. I also looked at the pirate bucket that has beer in it but I didn't think he would drink the different kinds of beer. It is a cute idea though.

I thought about doing the in room celebration but I didn't really think it sounded like it was geared toward an adult male.

I also asked my fiance if there are any special events he wanted to do. He has always wanted to go to the hoop dee doo revue (which fits him perfectly because he prefers home style cooking versus fine dining). We are also doing the segway tour in Epcot.

On our last trip I surprised hubby and daughter with Illuminations cruise, they both went bananas. A little on the pricey side, but I think it was well worth it. They both still talk about it. It was the highlight of our trip. The only down side is going to be watching Illuminations from land instead of boat next trip:rotfl2:

You can even order snacks and decorating of boat, which I did and it was really nice. I believe this can be found under special events on WDW website.

Have a wonderful trip!

^This. Done it three times now I think and still among our favorite Disney memories.

Thanks for all the suggestions! We are staying at the Port Orleans Riverside. So I was thinking maybe a carriage ride, I would LOVE to be able to go to one of the signature resturants, like the California Grill, but we are only on the QSDP plan, and really don't want to pay OOP for it.

The segway tour at EPCOT is amazing too, they've changed it to 3 hours, and it starts early so you don't miss a lot of park time (7-10am). Something unique that you can't really do elsewhere.

As far as signature restaurants go, Le Cellier has always been a fave in EPCOT. O'Hana's at the Poly is a little quieter then most and if you time it right can have a great fireworks view. Or if you finish dinner just beforehand, walking out to the beach for the fireworks can be super romantic.

One of the best CS places is Wolf Gang Pucks Express at DTD take the boat to DTD & have a great meal there one night.

The signature restaurants are so worth it. We just returned last Monday and tried Yachtman's and Flying Fish. They both were fantastic and there isn't anything better than having a nice romantic dinner with the person you love. It beats CS any day. I think it is money well spend! Enjoy the time with DH.

POR is nice too, if you have a chance stop by the bar and see Bob. He plays the piano and has a really fun sing along.

I don't think a signature restaurant will be in the works for us for supper, but our time together has always been breakfast, example if we go out somewhere, it's usually for breakfast rather than dinner. So I think I am going to try and get a reservation to get us some Tonga Toast!

Have any of you ever ordered a mini cake, or something from Disney Florist???? thoughts on those????

DBF has used them twice. The first time he sent me a arrangement when I was there alone with my son. The second time was our first trip together. He arrange for them to come to the room, while we were out. They delievered long stem roses, chocolates, a pic for Mickey and Minnie, towels, candles and rose pedals were all over the room. It was such as awesome surprise. Disney Florist does a fantastic job. Sorry, I don't know anything about the cakes. I know that I have seen a thread on cakes, maybe on the restaurant board.

How about something at the RPDE.
He can drive a race car or one of the Lamborghinis.

I'm looking into a horse drawn carriage ride, and possibly the "with love from mickey and minnie" package that is available at Disney Floral and Gift. I would love to do a tour the next time we go to WDW though, and the segway one would be awesome!
