Surprise Cleaning at BCV

On our WDW trip last month we checked into the BCV on Saturday morning, and departed on Tuesday. With that schedule, we were not even due a T&T day, much less a full cleaning. As expected, we didn't see housekeeping on Sunday, but upon returning to the room from the parks on Monday afternoon, we were surprised to find that the room had received a full cleaning. I wasn't sure what to think: Was there confusion over our checkout date? I had not requested a cleaning...Would a charge appear on my bill?

Well, I received my express checkout notice the next morning as expected, with no charge for the cleaning. So, I'm guessing housekeeping just got confused and I got an extra cleaning.

Have many of my fellow BCV brethren seen similar confusion? Extra cleaning (or T&T) days? Missing cleaning days?

I'm not complaining by the way, just curious...

We got a surprise cleaning too while we were there last Nov. I think the Mousekeeping has so many rooms to clean, I am sure they mess up the schedule occasionally. We got our regularly scheduled cleanings too, so no harm done...and no extra charge.

We missed our T & T day. we checked in on 12/12--expected T & T on 12/15; we returned to the room @ 4 to find nothing had been done. When I called Housekeeping, they said since I had "checked in" on 12/15, I wasn't due a cleaning until later. I explained that we checked in 12/12. They were going to come clean, but we were getting ready to go to MVMCP, so we just asked for fresh towels.

In 10/02 during our stay at BCV, we got a cleaning on an "off" day also. If I remember correctly, we got a full cleaning at day 3 and T& T on day four. Both were surprises and it took me a minute or two to figure out what had happened.

No unexpected cleaning. But DBF and I did come back to some unexpected bed rails one night, which was humurous because they were put in our room the one night we had friends who live in Sarasota staying with us.

I was going to call lodgekeeping, but it was midnight and I'm sure whoever wanted them wouldn't have wanted to be disturbed at that late hour and probably got another set somehow anyway.

My point-Seems like they confuse rooms a lot. It doesn't surprise me they cleaned when they weren't scheduled to or don't when they are.
