We are SOOOOOOOO EXCITED for our January trip to Disney World! The trip was a surprise Christmas present for our kids. I have never struggled so hard to keep a secret! I was dying for the past 4 months... especially whenever my 4 year old would sigh pitifully and ask me if we'd EVER be able to go back to Disney
On Christmas morning, they thought they had finished opening all their presents...
This is the kids showing us all their presents thinking Christmas is done...
Then a surprise mystery box emerged from our bedroom!
When they opened the box, a bunch of balloons flew out with Disney tickets and letters from Pooh and Mickey/Minnie attached to the strings (we used our tix from a previous trip... they don't know the difference). My 1st grade daughter used her new reading skills to read the letters to her younger sister...
Letter from Pooh...
"Hi Noelle and Kylie! I can't wait to see you on January 22nd here in Disney World! Just please don't eat all my hunny! -Love, Pooh"
Letter from Mickey and Minnie...
"Dear Noelle and Kylie! We can't wait to see you down here in Disney World! Pack your suitcase! We'll see you on January 22nd! That's in 28 more days. See ya real soon! -Love, Minnie and Mickey"
WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!!!!
I'm pretty sure balloons in a box is something that's been done a lot (I got the idea from this board). But it was totally unique to our family, and the kids were beside themselves with joy. We went to visit relatives Christmas afternoon, and they insisted on bringing all the balloons with them everywhere we went.
It was a fantastic Christmas! Now we just have to be patient for a few more weeks. I may break out my suitcase this week... I don't do "patient" very well!! 26 more days!
