Surprise - Cabanas available

So I'm on the April 3rd wish and curious what others are seeing. Anyway just hit my 123 day for Pearl check in and was able to get my choice of cabanas (decided to try the new Mickey and Minnie's cove). Still 1 1/2 days from Platinum checkin and there are still 20 cabanas open. Is this an anomaly or the new reality. Has DCL created too much supply with 31 new cabanas and now charging $935 a piece and not enough demand for them going forward.

Is it just me, or was it just yesterday they were charging $500? When did it go sky high? I mean, 1000K for 6 hours of beach?

I’m “just” Gold, cruising the Treasure on March; when my booking window opened there were plenty of cabanas available.. and kept open at least for a week after..

I booked one as it sounded too good to have them available, but honestly on the fence on whether to keep it or not… we have been to CC and LK without them and had a great time… I wonder if we will get too spoiled by having the experience this one time LOL

LOL. I agree with you about being too spoiled but If one is available for our April sailing on the Treasure, I am going to book one for sure. They are a bit expensive but they look so cool and I want my family to enjoy that at least once.

I'm with you there. I like little splurges here and there but I'd rather plunk that $1000 down on my next cruise.
That is what makes me happy.

We will see if they fill up... If they do, Disney might finally be right-pricing the cabanas. If they don't, they overshot, and they'll likely lower the price.

I mentioned in another post-on a fantasy cruise in March with a stop at Lookout. Cabanas were available up until recently. The adult ones, at least at Lookout, booked very quickly, I think due to a better location. The family ones were around for awhile. Large price tag. Our days of booking a family cabana are over, especially at Castaway. While I enjoy having one, just can't justify it anymore-plenty of shade, room, and quiet areas. I have one for this trip on the adult beach for Lookout. Mainly due to lack of shade on the island.

We have 2 cruises on the fantasy in January - just checked and all cabanas are booked. Bet it will just take longer to book the cabanas now, but they will all fill up.

I’m on a b2b on the Destiny next week and available cabanas keep popping up. I’m then on a Treasure cruise in March, we have just passed gold opening day and there are a couple of cabanas still available. I think Disney have finally priced themselves out with so much availability now. $900 is absolute crazy.
