Hello!

My lovely DBF told me about my 25th birthday present last night - and he's taking me to DLP for four nights from the 8th of January! Eeeeeeeeeeeeek! So excited!

I've been wanting us to go to DLP for ages but we decided we couldn't afford it what with our upcoming three week trip to WDW in August - so I'm super excited as this has come completely out of the blue!

So... Where do I start?

The only thing I know about is that we're doing Chef Micky for dinner on my actual birthday (the 9th) and I've said that I want to do Panoramagique as I've never done it.

Does anyone have any ideas to make the day special? DBF isn't a massive fan of scary rides - BTM is about as scary as he can handle, whereas I'm really into fast rides, so this is going to be an entirely different trip for me!

Any restaurants we should definitely do? I've never really done a grown up trip - my last one was with our nieces, so we didn't really do any dining reservations and just took a really relaxed approach.

We're staying at Hotel Cheyenne - am I right in thinking that you can't do room service at the value hotels? If that's the case, is there anywhere specially nice we could go for breakfast on the morning of my birthday? Where's the nicest place for lunch? Walts?

So excited I could pop!

Cafe Mickey is a fun place for dinner - though if you do Walts for lunch you could just possibly find that CM might disappoint you after such a gorgeous place as Walts <3
For breakfast, upgrade to the Disneyland Hotel (Inventions).
While you don't need to do reservations as this will be a real off peak time (check the refubs/closures before you go too and this will give you a better ride plan) I would advise to reserve Walts if you want to eat there as its the most popular restaurant in the park.
You're right though, you can't room service in the Hotel Cheyenne (the actual reception and winning room aren't connected to the blocks). Admirals Floor in the Newport Bay and above you can get room service, but possibly the Sequoia Golden Forest rooms too.

Wow, lovely surprise :goodvibes

I agree with Inventions for breakfast - it's lovely being in the DLH and it's a nice way for a taster.

Walts is lovely too - but not always open to phone to check and make a reservation. Blue Lagoon is good to which is situated inside Pirates.

You should be able to take your time around the park at this time of year and make use of the indoor queues/rides to get out of the cold.

No room service at the Cheyenne but you could do a tour of all the hotels and pop in to each of the bars and check out the restaurants.

Hope you have a great time :)
