Good pick up...wonder what it is? I would so love something similar to GAD/GAD. A one day ticket for the five of us when we go in June would be a BIG savings!

Not a problem!! I'm thinking by the video that a 24 hour park day will be happening. The clock part seems like a huge indication

I think it has something to do with the leap year. You get an extra day in the year so, you get an extra day to your vacation! That would be a hugee savings for us also!

Well I hope it is more than an extra day on your park ticket since an extra day added to a longer ticket is only like $8 per ticket. We are going in January and will be upgrading some two day passes to 7 day passes hopefully it is something we can take advantage of

I do agree with that point. I have 8 day park hoppers and I don't see it being that big of a $ to add one day. But I'm sure some people would like that.

Maybe all parks will have extended hours for 2012?

I don't see any draw (personally) in 24 hours...since I have kids none of them will be up and in the parks at 2,3,4 or 5am.

I'm looking forward to seeing what the announcement is.

Hopefully not an extra day on the ticket, but a full-value one day ticket like GAD/GAD where you can use it to upgrade to whatever ticket you want. I'd like that!

We have annual passes, so the extra day won't help us much...BUT we are traveling with friends with military tickets...who would benefit. Only problem...we leave at 5am for Disney the next morning.

I think there are going to be a lot of disappointed people when the announcement is made. I have a feeling it will be nothing more than Disneys new marketing for 2012 and hold very little value for the average person.

I just got off the phone making a reservation a while ago and had a very chatty CM. I asked if he knew what this was about and he said it's supposed to be a variety of things. Everything from info re: the Fantasyland Expansion (things that hadn't previously been announced/released) to some major promo. He said they weren't given many details other than beginning January 1st, it's going to be very busy for them. He said they're not normally given that kind of warning of how busy it's going to get unless it's something very big like free dining, but he doesn't know exactly what it will be, just that it will be BIG. Now, I know hearing this from a phone reservationist CM may be along the same lines of "hearing it from the bus driver", but he sounded pretty certain. We shall see!

Thanks for posting that. I think it is going to be a new promo like others have said, because of this being leap year, they are going to offer something like buy 4 days get one free.

I think they will have extended hours on a fairly regular basis. Especially staying open later. Only thing is, it could kind of mess up the EMH for the resorts unless it just specifically applies to resorts unless they are open for everyone on opposite nights as the resort EMH. I know what I'm thinking makes sense but what I'm typing is a bit foggy. Tired.
