Surgery Happy Dance

I've had chronic hip pain for 5 + years. I've had arthroscopic surgery, I've taken every NSAID on the market, and I've had 3 separate steroid shots. Nothing helped alleviate the constant pain from my osteoarthritis.

I finished nursing school so I now have the time to rehab from possible surgery. I went to my Dr. yesterday and by the time I left I had scheduled my hip replacement. I'm sooooo excited for the possibility of not being in constant pain.

First off...CONGRAT'S on finishing Nursing School! I didn't even know you enrolled! I remember talking colleges with you for your DD, or should I say the sticker shock we were both having so our kids could go for their dreams Certainly sending for the upcoming surgery and don't lose sight of the painfree prize. I have 2 friends ( they are sisters) who have had both hips replaced under age of 30..and they are new people!

My sister had a hip replaced a few years ago and she was so happy she did it. (she actually needed a knee replaced, but the opposite hip was so bad, it needed replacing before the knee.)

Rehab for the hip was easy compared to the knee!

How's it going for dd? My dd ended up at NYU - Tisch flim school. She is doing amazing. Even though she will be off the charts in debt she has made priceless connections in the last 2 years. She has decided to go to school all summer to save some money and will graduate a year early.
