Surfing at TL??

Has anyone done the surfing class at Typhoon Lagoon? My daughter and her friend would like to do this when we go in June and I am just trying to find out if it is worth the money. Also, do you know if the price includes admission into the park for the day?

We've also wanted to do this but haven't been able to fit it in. From what I understand it does not include admission for the day. Only during the lessons.

DS did this in august and I would say it is worth the $$$, He loved it and had a fabulous time, he is 12 by the way. Park admission is not included in the price. Wanted to send him again on our dec trip but TL was closed for refurb.

Be ready to get up bright and early for this class

Thanks for the info. I didn't think admission was included but I thought I would ask. I guess I will have to drag myself out of bed that morning.

My son who is the avid surfer was thinking of doing this. Only thing is, he already knows how to surf...he just wants to surf the waves there. I wonder if they will let him just do that and not take the lessons since he already surfs. (In fact, he is out at the beach right now surfing! )

My son did this last June. He had a great time and said it was worth it (he paid himself). If you do this - don't forget the camera. We have some great video of my son's surfing experience.

Anyone going in May should check out when TL is closed. I doubt there will be any surfing.
