I've read where Disney is applying a surcharge for some buffets during the holidays. Does anyone know what the increase is? I wonder if it is a flat amount added to the price or maybe a percent increase. Does anyone know?

here is a link to the information on the DIS

During seasons of high demand, Disney raises the prices at most of the prix fixe restaurants.

It is very annoying and one of the reasons we did the DDP for our June trip, it added $16 to each buffet we had, and we had quite a few. So far, the DDP is the same price regardless of what time of year you are going.

I understand, Amy. It is a stupid policy if you ask me. They are already charging more than enough of an increase on the hotel, is it really necessary for Disney to charge more money for food when you would eat the same amount either way.

In some cases, I think situations like this cause people to be greedy, wasteful and gluttonous. I am not one of these people and I know not all are, but I have known enough people in my life (at work and in extended family, sadly) that feel like if they are paying for it, the company (Disney in this case) will pay for it as well. They will put food on their plates they do not intend to eat or overstuff themselves so that they feel like they are getting their monies worth. IMO, Disney loses and so does the person with that attitude, but it happens.

Thanks,
I can't believe they jack up the prices like that. I didn't notice last year because we were on the meal plan, but we are scaling back a little this year and we're only eating out a few times. It just seems like enough is enough with all of the price increases. Don't they want people to come and feel good about their vacation and not taken advantage of ?:confused3
ok- I'm done venting....thanks for the replies
