Yes, we are that kind of parents. The kind that will take their kids out of school for a Disney Vacation. I don’t normally BUT this is a surprise trip and the only time we could get off plus we have FREE DINING!
Last Sept DH and I honeymooned at WDW at SSR and Disney gave us an offer we couldn’t refuse… Yes Im talking about a bounce back! So we took some of the money we got as wedding gifts and put down a deposit, but not before my DH made me promise the trip would be a surprise for the kids. So for a yr, I have been plotting, planning, making ADRs surfing the DIS and I am about to BURST!!!!
We booked 5 nights at ASMu, to arrive Mon Sept 21 we never stayed here before but DH and DS are music lovers. We decided back in March we wanted to spend that Sun at DTD shopping, having lunch at EOS and doing DQ then dinner at WGPE so I booked the night before ASMu at Buena Vista Suites, then we decided a week ago we would like to have the whole Sun to spend at DTD (driving from Charleston is a 6-7 hr trip) so we did some checking found an incredible rate at Orlanda Vista Hotel for $111 for two nights versus the $99 for one night at BVS so I canceled BVS and booked Orlando Vista so our 5 day vacation has become 7 days now! So yesterday I booked T Rex for that Sat night, my family has all been wanting to try it. Now I just need to order my DQ tickets and buy some drinks, snacks and ponchos and Im done! We are paying OOP for breakfast so to keep cost down Im buying several six packs of the bottled OJ for the kids and DH and I bringing our coffee maker and all the fixins to make our own coffee to bring to the CS places we have breakfast. That way we will have more money for…. Coacktails, drinky poos, Im just dying to try the Welch Dragon in GB, peach Schanpp in China , Ice Wine in Canada, and the Pina Colava at The Poly!
Oh Let me introduce you to the cast:
Me: Tasha lover of all things Disney since the age of 4 (OMG that’s over 30 yrs) I have a habit of turning commando when we get to WDW, family has to calm me down I just get so excited, I want to do, see everything right then, right now! I love to eat, love to try new things, was raided in a immigrant family, my mother is Dutch, father Indonesian so I am use to eating different things.
DH-Tommy, Fell in love with WDW on our honeymoon last yr, Is talking about a deluxe trip for just the two of us for our 5 yr anniversary, I KNEW I married the right man! LOL! He is pretty easy to please food wise and is willing to try some different things.
DS David, almost 16 also a WDW lover, is a real steak and potato boy. I swear he should have been born in the 70’ or 80’s tho with his taste in music and movies, IM SO PROUD! He is the mascot for his high school this yr so we are very excited and proud of him.
DD Amanda, almost 13 –aka Miss Priss, swears she isn’t a girly girl but is all about the fashion and much to my DH dismay boys, primply faced, sagging pants wearing, skateboarding boys! She also loves WDW and has been asking for the last yr when we are going back.

So.. Now I ask my fellow Disers to help us come up with a plan to surprise the kids with this trip, we know we want to tell them Fri Sept 18th but we aren’t sure how, I know yall have great imaginations so come on! Help a fellow WDW obbsesser out! Send me some ideas ppl! TIA!
35 days and counting down!
