Suppose the FTP was extended through the year, I have a studio already booked at the BWV on points, would I be able to switch the ressie over to the FTP???? I have not yet bought tickets. What do you think?

You would have to cancel your reservation that you made with the individual DVC member and face any penalty there and then re-book with the FTP. A DVC reservation on points is a separate reservation than any reservation made through CRO or WDTC. You can not buy tickets with a reservation made through DVC as a package deal like you can with the FTP. DVC and CRO maintain separate inventories and they are treated as such.

If you rented points from a DVC member, chances are you would forfeit at least half of the rental proce by cancelling.

It might not be worth it to lose that money, but only you can decide.

You would also have to see if the FTP package was available for your choice of accomodations - there is not much inventory at the DVC resorts given over to CRO/WTDC for booking - a minimum of 4% + whatever members don't reserve for themselves I believe

Also, are you staying Sunday-Friday or have Fri/Sat nights as well - remember that the points for Fri/Sat are higher and may have made your rental more expensive per night basis
