I know I can't be the only one who doesn't see enough difference between Nobama and McSame.

That's what I've always wondered about the 3rd party type people on the ballot.

Given that they have 0% chance of winning does it even make sense for people to vote for them rather then as was said above about "picking the one you can't stand the least".

If everyone I heard say, "I'd vote for (fill in name of candidate here), but I don't want to waste my vote." Actually, voted for the third party candidate it would make enough of a difference to instigate change.

AND...why should I vote for the lesser of two evils? :confused3 As long as I vote my conscience I can sleep at night.

What if you passionately dislike both of them with every fiber in your being?

Then write in 'Mickey Mouse' and waste your vote. At least you will have gone to the polls and had your say. There are other down ticket races. Vote for the candidates you like in those races.

Then join the crowd.

I can honestly only say that I was thrilled about presidential nominees probably once in 40 years. The last two I was totally unexcited or interested. But I voted for the one I leaned closer to.

In the future I would like to see a strong 3rd party candiate in the running.

I have voted for Nader in the past and I did vote for Ross Perot when he ran in 1996.

I might vote for Alan Keyes. That way there would still be a black man in the white house so the Dems couldn't compain about the race card and me only voting against Obama because he's black, haha. :)

Besides, Mr. Keyes spells his first name correctly - and it is a great name - reason enough for my vote. :)

We certainly need a good Moderate party.

Where's Ross Perot when you need him? :rotfl:

"I'd rather vote for something I want and not get it than vote for something I don't want, and get it."
Eugene V. Debs :teacher: ::yes::

I will be writing in Ron Paul for President. I was an undeclared voter in NJ and declared myself a Republican so I could vote for him in the primary this year (I then undeclared and am now an independent voter again).

I felt he was the best for the job then and I feel the same way now. He understands the role of the Federal government better than the two major party candidates as far as I am concerned.

My grandfather always said that the only wasted vote in the one not cast.

RK in NJ

Why, do you think they're interchangeable? Llike the Republicans thought Hillary and Palin were? Now THAT's insulting.

Besides he tried a few years back and didn't even make a ripple. Maybe it takes a bit more than just being Black.

I suppose sarcasm is lost on 17th Century English explorers... ;) :rolleyes1

I did too! That was my first presidential election. I'm voting for Nader this time too.

LOL, unfortunately, Michigan isn't a write in state.
