Supercallifragilistic-ADR'sApproachUs! May '09 PTR *Trip Report has Begun! Pg. 208*

I was going to say that but I didn't want to be too much of an enabler! :rotfl:

The sad thing is...it doesn't take much to enable me...and I'm definitely an enabler too...boy I hope our Gnomes (DHs) are ready for 2010...it could be hazardous to our budgets. At least I have over a year to save LOL!!

:lmao: I'm really contemplating our December '09 trip. Because I'd like to give us some more breathing room and cut down on our expenses and get rid of our debt. Which in the long run would mean more WDW Vacations! :rotfl2:

Thanks Jen! Merry Christmas to you! I can't wait to see pictures of Megs on Christmas morning!

Merry (belated) Christmas LL!! It looks like you guys had a great holiday. I loved your 12 Days of Christmas, especially THIS:

5th Day of Christmas:
We put a Christmas sweater on Ruby and laughed at her.

Wow, I would love to try and get one of those on my Mixi. I think that is a battle I would lose though  SOOO cute!

I have spent this morning catching up on your pre-trippie and have learned a lot! Like that I needed to go to Disney's website and order the brand-new planning DVD :surfweb: And what's this about only being able to make ADR's only 90 days out now? :scared1: The horror! Of course, I don't have another trip planned yet (I'm still trying to finish my August TR  ) But I really want to plan one for 2009. Other than Japan, which is probably a few years off, there just isn't really anywhere else I want to go! :mickeyjum

In the meantime I will just keep living vicariously through YOUR plans! :teeth:

Taking a big breath! Started you pre-trippie last night and just finished, it's been a very fun read.....You have me rethinking my bag of choice, especially for May/June when I don't need to pack along a sweatshirt but I'm still wondering if there is enough room in the VB hipster for ponchos and a tiny camera... Hmmmm, what do you think?:tinker:

Oops, sorry for the second post but I need to know your dh's stealth method of getting so many mickey heads from Home Depot. :rolleyes1 I am soooo stealing your trip count down idea.....And one last comment for now.....my dh is a Marc too!:thumbsup2

This is the Tripod I ordered off of Amazon.

I do like it. Here is a list of reasons why. ;)

1. It's tall enough for me to use.
2. You can adjust the height so if you want to put it say on a trash can it doesn't have to be fully extended.
3. It has two different levels on it, so if you are trying to get the tripod even on the ground you can.
4. It came with a carrying case.
5. It's fairly lightweight.
6. It is easy to assemble and can be set up and taken down very quickly.
7. It has a cool little crank, it's fun to turn to make it higher.
8. It is very easy to get your camere on and off the tripod.

The only thing I don't liked about it is that I wish it folded up a teeny bit smaller but really it's a great tripod for the price.

Here it is set up in my living room. The legs are fully exteneded but I don't think the crank is as high as it could be.

Does it hold the camera vertically and horizontally???? (is tht a word :confused3 )

Marc totally got the sweater on Ruby, it was quite the feat.
I really really want to go in 2009 too! I love your TR! :goodvibes

Thanks for reading! I have a bigger camera and it fits in there nicely with my wallet, which is a longer one. I think you could get your ponchos in there no problem!

That's neat that your DH is a Marc too!! :thumbsup2

Marc actually took the paint brochures that are neat the Mickey Heads and wrapped up Mickey Heads in the paint brochures. Does that make sense? I thought it was very crafty and stealth. :lmao:

You know. I don't know. The box says it has a three way head, does that mean it does?? Do you need a special attachment for your camera? I guess if you had the little hole on the bottom and side of your camera to screw in the piece it could take it both ways. :confused3 I will have to investigate further.

Hmmmmm, maybe I'll just wait by the door, when I've gone in for the alien green ones I always feel that I'm going to be aprehended on my way out!!:lmao:

What a wonderful family picture! Looks like your tripod did a very good job. :thumbsup2 I LOVED your 12 days of Christmas, what a great tradition to start! I laughed out loud at the cat pictures, hilarious!!

I was a couple updates behind and just read through all your plans too, everything looks great. I was in a similar situation for our November trip where Disney just did NOT release the schedules for a very long time. It was frustrating, but it all worked out in the end.

I haven't read much on this 90 day thing yet...gotta do some research!

What dates are you looking at for the possible December trip? (Sorry if you already mentioned them, I must have missed it?)

I do too! I get all panicky and feel like everyone is watching me. Marc is much better at it than I am.

Thank you. The tripod did very well, I'm very happy with it.

I just wish they would release the hours then I could feel better about everything, especially with them cutting back on nighttime shows. It seems like it's true, that the ADR's are 90 days out. I am just glad that we know now.

Our possible dates for next December are the 6th - 13th. We really are thinking of canceling though. We just have some other stuff we'd like to do in 2009, but of course we still have our May trip! ;)

Oh my gosh, I'm so glad that I'm NOT crazy for feeling that way--when I got my Mickey heads to make the countdown on my door, I was so nervous! I felt like someone was going to come out and start yelling at me. I even tried to cover up by taking some non-Mickey head paint samples. I left the store trying to look casual and probably ended up looking terrified. :rotfl:

I didn't know you had a new PTR going! Good thing I found the link in your other one, haha. I'm joining in again if you don't mind. :) Now to catch up!!

Hey LL! I have been stalking your PTR/TRs for too long now! I just wanted to say I LOVE THEM! You are a fantastic writer! May you always go to the Dis so you can provide me with something to read when I dont want to work! :rotfl:

I totally feel that way. I am sure me trying to look casual just makes me look more guilty. I think I get even more freaked out because I used to be a cashier at Home Depot and I know how they do their security. :rotfl2:

Hi! Thanks for coming out of lurkdom! :goodvibes I will work hard to always provide you something to read so you don't have to work. :rotfl: I feel the same way about reading TR's while I'm at work! :thumbsup2

Geez LL, I finally make it over to your PTR and its at 30 pages! :scared1: Good thing I like to procrastinate at work and had plenty of time to read through it. :thumbsup2

Hopefully I can start my TR soon so I can post the light fixture pics I took! :rotfl: BTW, LOVE that chandelier tee. PERFECT for you!:flower3:
