Just looking for opinions on which character breakfast to do on our last morning.

Supercalifragilistic Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare
Cape May Cafe at Disney's Beach Club

My kids the characters at both, so that isn't really a consideration.

Which would you recommend in terms of food and atmosphere?

Thanks so much!

I couldn't choose between the two so I've booked both and also breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table.

From reading the reviews on various websites it looks like the Supercal....just pips cape cafe but everyone likes different things don't they!!!

Both places are typical breakfast fare. Supercalifragilistic Breakfast has Alice, Mad Hatter and Mary Poppins and Cape May has characters in beach attire donald mickey?. So it would come down to which characters you would like to see. We have done Supercalifragilistic and the mad hatter was funny we really enjoyed him alot. I think the Super may be more fun :)

We ate at Cape May in Feb. Donald, Goofy & mini were there. There were empty tables and the characters came by three or four times and really interacted with the kids. Goofy was perfect :) I got the best photos of the trip that meal and we never felt rushed. The food was decent. Typical buffet breakfast. Eggs, mickey waffles, cereals, fruit, toast, bagels etc.

Park Fare can get a little hectic (compared to Cape May) if you go later in the morning. Park Fare is great early on though. Park Fare will also have 3 face characters, if that matters. Later in the morning, when that organ starts playing at PF - you can get a little sensory overload going.

Food is probably pretty similar. PF does have an omelete station, and the strawberry soup out for breakfast.

I can't remember - does Cape May have the oreo bon-bons on for breakfast too?

Oreo bon bons??? I never saw them if they had them. That's something my husband would have on his plate right off so probably not at Cape May.

I thought the food was great. Mary Poppins was so authentic, I thought she jumped right out of the movie screen - very fun to talk with in character. Mad Hatter was well.... mad crazy and loud. Alice in Wonderland was cute. It was a nice change to actually be able to talk with characters instead of having them do the mime thing. Tigger and Pooh were there too. Returning in 2010.

Does Cape May have made-to-order eggs? :)

No egg chef there at the buffet, but 1900 Pk Fare has one although he does get quite busy. We've done both Pk Fare and Cape May often but we really enjoy the variety of Park Fare's choices, many more choices on the buffet than Cape May however we do like Cape May. But, if you need egg white or are on a special diet I'm sure they can accommodate your request, just make sure to mention it when you make your reservation.

I think both of these breakfasts deserve a visit if you can swing it. Different characters and different atmospheres...however I do agree that Pk Fare can be a little crazy as the seating area is larger and more open but so is the buffet. We went during that late breakfast hours and it was very nice and laid back at that time. I just recently posted a review on Park Fare on my website at www.disneydiningreviews.com complete with photos.:goodvibes

There is no comparison, the food was MUCH better at 1900. We didnt like Cape May, the server was nice & the characters came around to every table but the food wasn't very good. Also there is no omelet station and less choices and you are paying the same price. The characters at 1900 were great too.
& the interaction with Alice was great & we were just 2 adults

Yes, they will do them at the omelet station. You just have to ask for them and they will make them for you there :thumbsup2

Just to be clear, I don't think Cape May has an omelet station like Park Fare. At Park Fare, you can ask for fried eggs cooked however you want at the omelet station.

Sorry, yes I read too quickly...I was referring to 1900...no omelet station at Cape May :o
