Superbowl Ads

I was only able to watch from halftime on. Of course loved the Disney one! The NFL flag football ladies. The Amazon one with the dog and new puppy had a happy ending. My kids liked the QR code one that Rick-rolled you.

The M&Ms ad was dumb. And kind of gross.

The Disney 100 years ad made me cry. So that was the best one.

I liked:
Disney 100
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny
Doritos - Triangle Player
Rockstars ad, though I don't really know what it was for
Ben Afleck working at Dunkin' Donuts

I disliked:
Ma & Ya's M&Ms
Binky Dad - what was that even for?
The Flash - what a waste

I thought the Disney ad was good, but it wasn’t anything out of the ordinary for Disney. Anybody thats cruised on the Disney classic ships has seen the montages at dinner that bring a tear to your eye.
Disney has a higher bar when it comes to anything entertainment wise and I thought it was just ordinary Disney advertising…nothing special. Honestly a 10 year old could have made that commercial. Just throwing together Disney moving clips

The dog commercial got to me, not particularly good.
Same here. It made me sad, and I actually left the room to do the dishes at that point.

Pepsi...I think their commercials saying the actors could like it or could just be acting are stupid.
I agree!

Thought the T-mobile spoof of Grease near the end of the game was well done.
Me too. (I went to bed after halftime, but I saw that one on TouTube this morning. I will have to look for the Disney one too.)

Some I enjoyed during the first half were:

The cat playing the piano (not high art, I realize, but made me smile)

The T-Mobile blooper one (funny)

The Caddyshack ones (We noticed lots of last night's had references to movies, etc.)

The Jeep Electric Slide one

The Doritos triangle one

Didn't see any that really wowed me this year.

Nothing like past years, it seems companies weren't really making any effort. I think they've finally decided that they don't need the Super Bowl any more.

If that's the case, why fork over the money? I mean $6m-7m for a 30 second spot AND they had folks buying.

I think it comes down to a lack of creativity (look at all the movies and TV shows that get made, there's nothing "new").

The farmer's dog one was so sweet. The only one that has stood out to us so far.
My co teacher's son is best friends with the older brother of the little girl in the ad. It was very sweet ad that definitely gave me the feels since my older dog is quickly approaching 12.

We did not watch, we had been at a funeral earlier and really not up to it. I did however check them out on line this morning. Nothing really stood out, maybe Bradley Cooper and his mom really cute. I did check out Chris Stapleton singing the National Anthem, I sat at my desk with tears streaming down my face, it was the most touching rendition that I have ever heard, his voice is just amazing. His voice with our flag on the field and then the shot of the air craft carrier with the men and women standing on it, was the perfect moments...

at’s with the M&M commercial? Sand clams?

it was odd that the follow up 'press conference' commercial with the spokescandy announcing that they are back was so much later on in the show (i think it ran after the end of play).

I must have missed the Disney commercial.

I like some of them:
The old dog was cute but made me sad
The T-mobile commercials were good
Dunkin was good
The dog & puppy were good
Beer commercial with them dancing was good

^^ Could be. However for the high price of a Super Bowl ad they could have purchased a LOT more airtime during most any other show.

I felt out of the loop! When did M & M's go away, and why are they dong a "come back". Simply weird to me.
I loved the dog one, as I have had older dogs in the past. Also liked the Dad's binky run, very funny.
I thought the religious one was out of place at the super bowl,
