Super Soaps Weekend

Anyone have any idea when a schedule comes out for the Super Soaps Weekend? This will be our first time going and the obsessive compulsive planner in me is going nuts for lack of details!

usually the list of attendees is out by now, with them adding or subracting people as it gets closer....the schedule doesn't come out until about a month in advance....Have fun!

I heard the list came out last year around the 21st of September. It will be our second year, we had a wonderful time, I hope you do too!!! We are staying at Pop too, maybe we will see you on the buses.

Ooooh, it is so much fun. I am hoping we get to go too. We bought AP so I think I may talk my DH into going.

How crowded is this weekend? We start our vacation on Nov 8th and leave Nov 11th for our cruise. I have no desire to see soap stars but MGM is my son's favorite park, We have fantasmic reservations for Nov 8th and then we will avoid the park if it is too crowded.

It is VERY crowded that weekend at at MGM, However, the good thing is that most of the people there that weekend are just there for the super star events. So the rides are minimal for waits. But they will not have the regular parades and I don't think that the have the backstage tour or the lights motor action show either.

where do the events happen? Is it all over the park or just in one area? I could have chosen anytime in Nov and I happen to pick Jersey week, food and wine and super soap weekend at the same time! Thank goodness I decided to extend our trip after the cruise from Nov 15th-19th. I am hoping it will be less crowded then.

They had the regular parade last year during SSW, My b/f and I were sitting in the wheelchair section behind the barricades. Then when the regular parade was over, they removed the barricades and we were able to be closer to the stage.

events are all around the park. If you can, go to MGM early in your stay and then you wont have to deal with the event. Epcot isn't as bad as far as crowds for the f&w fest. because it's more spread out.

It is difficult to get around all the crowds at MGM that weekend, especially if it's during a parade time, which happens 6 times a day. People are lined up 5 people deep and block the side walks.

The years early 2000's they closed the park when it got to full. Just giving you a heads up they might do it again. They did close some of the rides when I was there too due to the fact they were using the space.

I've checked out his website but I guess I didn't search deep enough - I never find what I'm looking for. But then again after drooling over his photos it does tend to leave my mind a little fuzzy.

All this soap stuff is new to me. My best buddie is the soap addict - I make up the Disney addict half of the trip. We're really looking forward to our first "best buddies" trip in a long time (leaving the guys at home). This will be my 18th visit and her first! If she doesn't come away totally hooked I will have failed my mission! May the Mouse be with me!
