anyone besides me going? i have wanted to go for years and decided i wasn't getting any younger so I'm going. very excited as i am a big GH fan and have been to other events but not the "grande dame" of them all!

How crowded is the park during the Soap Weekend?

My DD and I will be there too and are also BIG General Hospital fans!!

We did it last year for the 1st time and it was CROWDED!!!

My 20 year old daughter and I will be there for the 10th time! We have gone every year. Yes, she was 10 the first time - I know, I'm a terrible mother! We have a great time every year. Mother/Daughter bonding while oggling hot, young men! We are both GH fans, but I watch all 3. MGM is VERY crowded for this and if you plan on getting any autographs you need to get there very early to get fastpasses. My son (16) loves going to MGM during this because the attractions are usually empty and he does all his favorites many times. I always feel sorry for the families that have saved all year for their WDW vacation and show up at MGM not knowing about this beforehand. I always hear at least one father complain about all the crazy women!

We are going. My 16 year-old daughter is a big GH fan. We will be getting to MGM early to get autographs. When I booked our trip, I had no idea Super Soap Weekend existed -- or Jersey Week, for that matter.

I have Greg V. and Steve B. from GH so autographs are not huge on my list. More concerned about the crowds for the talk sessions and the jam at night. is it possible to get close enough to enjoy these events? that is what i am going for tho i may try for G.V.'s again just to stare at him and would advise the same from others. he is beautiful AND sweet. I have seen them both at meet and greets which is why i decided to to SSW. I can't wait!

I went two years ago, am not a soap fan, and had a blast!!!!! The park was crowded, but it seemed to add to the fun. We did not get autographs, but my SIL got los of pictures. She is bummed because she is coming with us in January, and decided to skip this year. Then she heard it will be the best ever! So have a great time, because if she is right it will be awesome! Be aware...you may become hooked!

My husband (who is so good to me) surprised me with a trip for Super Soap Weekend. I have been watching AMC for 36 years. Even if we get a couple of photos and an autograph or two, it will all be worth it. I have the 25th Anniversay ALL MY CHILDREN hardcover book. All the photos are in beautiful color. With Susan Lucci leading the way, it can't get any better than that.
I am very excited to be going.

You all are so LUCKY to be going.We came back from WDW Oct.4th and I've been ready to go back every since I got home.I would LOVE to go to the SSW one day since I am a big fan of General Hospital and One Life To Live.If anyone can take pictures of anyone from these two shows,I'd be glad to pay for a copy or double (including mailing),I'am not very good on computers or anything like printing pictures,so,I would LOVE some pictures from you lucky people.I'am not even good at taking pictures,I always cut someone off.If anyone gets doubles or copies,please e-mail me at mickeys_friend@hotmail.com or PM me here.If not,have a great time and remember all of us who wish we were there too.

When you guys talk about getting there early for the autograph fastpass's how early are we talking? Last year my DD and I got there at 9am which was our 1st time going and we didn't know any better! Of course no autographs for us!! But I am wondering how early we do need to get there. Also we will have a car so how early will they let us into the parking lot?

We'll be there. My daughter and sister have always wanted to go. Daughter just turned 16 and sister just turned 40 so we decided that this is the year. Our plan is to go to Epcot for Food and Wine on Saturday and take advantage of the EMH at MGM on Sunday. We are not interested in autograph sessions just the parades and concert. What do you think???? I will also be bringing my youngest who just turned 2. We were there July 4th week and I can't imagine it being any more crowded than that. Or is it???? This year we are staying at the Boardwalk Villas so that we can walk to the park nice and early. Especially since I want a Steve Burton autograph. Hopefully there will be some cool stuff since it's the 10th anniversary. We're arriving on Thursday, so we'll probably visit the Food Festival at Epcot as well. Anyone going to the Susan Lucci breakfast on Friday?
