Super Soap Weekend 2008?

Yes, I would love to see some of your 07 pics once you have them online. As you said, almost everyone I've met has been really nice. The only one who turned me off was Ingo. Met him about 3 years ago at SSW and he kept looking at the line and asking the Disney people if there could possibly be that many more people. And he would only sign the head shot, nothing else.

But all the others have been fabulous. Becky and Michael are the sweetest. They always bring the kids and make it a vacation. Kelly is really nice as well, but she always has a super long line and doesn't get to spend too much time with each person.

I would love to see some of the older folk as well. Bring Alexis, Monica, Diane, and why not Edward too. They might not be as popular but I'd go see them. I bet Kate will be there this year. And probably Maxie too. Can't wait for the list.

Hi every one I just booked our trip for the 15&16 hope all the rumors are true my husband doesnt know he's going. Hope to see some of you girls from last year had a great time got to meet 10 celbs. we stay off disney the count down has started. SO EXCITED!!!!!!!

I just found out the two actors who used to play Gus and Cassie on Guiding Light may be in attendance. I'd get up at 5am to meet them. I love GL. I stopped watching ABC soaps years ago.
My sil is the ABC fanatic, and I mean fanatic. She will follow them all over WDW to get a photo and has every year since SSW's inception.
I've already told her not to expect me to do that. I don't have that papparazzi stalker instinct and I don't think it's fair to ask them for anything unless it's an organized event.

Super Soap Weekend is Nov 14, 15, 16...I go every year and boy is it fun....Last yr my sister-in-law, and niece were interviewed so many times because of our shirts...so make some great shirts and you just might see yourself on screen the following year...so far we have been on screen for the last 2 yrs because of our shirts.....see ya there!

ABC Super Soap Weekend presented by Colgate® Total®: One of the largest annual soap opera fan events held anywhere in the world, ABC Super Soap Weekend presented by Colgate® Total®, returns to Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park Nov. 15-16. Stars from the ABC Daytime dramas "All My Children," "One Life to Live" and "General Hospital" step off the television screens and into the theme park in meet-and-greet autograph and photo sessions, celebrity motorcades, star conversations, interactive games and more.

Does anyone know what date Super Soap Weekend will be in 2008? I am thinking it will be Nov 8 & 9, but now I am wondering if it will be Nov 15 & 16. I need to request days off from work, so if anyone knows for sure which dates it will be, I would appreciate the info.

We were able to change our ressie from BCV to BWV thank goodness so I'll be there....boy were we lucky!

I just spoke with a reservation agent at Disney and she told me that SSW 2008 is November 15/16, 2008. I hope this helps everyone with their vacation plans.

Maurice was there in November 2001. He will never go again. The fans were getting into fights in line when things were different than now, i.e. Easy Pass. Plus, he was so emotionally overwhelmed with the fans. That year Tamara Braun was there as well. I was fortunate enough to be there. It was a very quiet SSW because of 9-11 other than the fans who sat in lines for hours to see Maurice were being cut in line by those ruder fans. I wish he would come back though but I seriously doubt it.

I wish he would also.This year I'm going to do GH stars.I'll see OLTL stars&AMC in Aug.at the fan club luncheon I'v never met any GH stars .Hope everyone has a grat time I'llhave met Bradford Anderson by SSW.Will post pics as soon as I can How many days to SUPER SOAP

We started going to SSW in 2002 so I have never seen Maurice there. But I did see him at a comedy club in Long Island. It was kind of disappointing because he just sat on the stage and talked. When it was over he was escorted out the back and no one could get his autograph or take pictures with him. So it was a waste of $65. But I've heard that others who do those events are more social. I know he gets overwhelmed but he is loved by so many fans that it's unfortunate he isn't more social.

Oh well, looking forward to this year. I think it's 176 days til I arrive. Can't wait!

Maurice is Manic Depressive, is on Medication to control it. He NEVER comes to SSW due to crowd issues, and the one time he did come, he left that Sat. due to his illness and crowds. He has talked a LOT about his illness, and I respect him for that. Would love to see him though, but the year he went I couldn't go.

It seems that sometimes each CM gives out different information.

I spoke with someone at DVC last week and she told me they had received an email that confirmed it was the weekend of the 15th. That's when I went ahead and booked BWV. I hope this is correct, if I have to change again I will freak out.
