Super Soap Weekend 2008?

I don't know if I would bank on Aiden Turner being there. He's on thin ice with Frons after something that he did last year in terms of some inappropriate comments he made to fans and stripping to his underwear. I'm sure he had a long talk about that.

When/where was this? I was there last year on Saturday - never saw or heard anything about this.

I was there last year too, (although not at the show where Aiden stripped to his shorts!). I believe it took place at the show (can't remember the name) that used the Beauty & The Beast theater. From what I hear it was pretty racy, but everyone thought it was funny. This is the first I heard that he got in trouble for it.

It's not just the crowds. Maurice is extremely afraid to fly. He was supposed to speak before congress as he is the spokesperson for the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance. However, at the last minute, he freaked out, couldn't get on the flight and had to cancel. Additionally, if he does a talk show, it's usually via satelite. He will be at Fan Club Weekend for GH next month, so I plan on seeing him then

I wish I could go to GH fan club weekend. It would be such an expensive trip from NY. Oh well, I'll have to settle for SSW.

Well, he used to do a Comedy show at one of the Local Comedy clubs off site of WDW. (I think it was FUNNIES) or something like that. He is VERY Racy and uses strong language in his act, and I believe from what I heard, he said something in the act about the Disney Co. and someone high up heard about it, and they told him not to come back. DON'T KNOW IF THIS IS ENTIRLEY TRUE< BUT ITS ONE OF THE STORY'S I HEARD!

I don't believe it's true. I haevn't heard anything negative as to why he doesn't come back. Simply put, it depends on if he wants to come and it also depends on if ABC invites him. I do know that they do like to appeal to the younger crowds or invite the actors who get bigger draws/major storylines.

The inappropriate comment was when Aiden was online. Basically he made a sexual comment to one of the fans. It basically went over the head of the person he made the comment to, but many fans surrounding him were offended.

I'm trying to rack my brain on when he dropped the pants. I know this happened on Saturday.

A similar occurance is why Ingo hasn't come back since his last visit in 2004.

Frons wasn't too happy about it. I had forgot where it happened, but now that you say B&B, yeah, it happened at the game show. I think JPL said something to Aiden about "keeping your pants on" (meaning, calm down) and Aiden was trying to be funny and stripped down. Fans may have thought it was funny, but execs did not.

Yup....That's one of many stories that I've heard about Ingo. I know many people were put off by Kimberly McCullough too. Also Nazanin Boniadi, who plays Leyla (on GH and on Night Shift) was downright rude too. She was a real diva.

Yes, but Kimberly was there last year, and the year before that, and she STILL was rude and NASTY! She should NOT come back at all, especially if you don't like your fans!

Yeah....I've heard some pretty nasty things about KiMc. I dislike her a great deal and would never wait in line as long as i do to get a fastpass for her. Unfortunately, as much as she gets rude and nasty, Frons hasn't received complaints about her as she doesn't do things to the extent that Ingo has. Ingo actually went up and kissed a fan inappropriately.

Scrubs still get a huge draw. Naz has issues with the fans as well. My favorite is Kelly Monaco. She loves her fans and treats them really well. Every time I see her, she's a great pleasure to talk to. What's more, she actually remembers her fans too! Last year, we were just chatting away until security was like, "you have to move along".

I'm surprised about Kimberly. I waited on her line last year and she was very friendly to me, we chatted for a while about her storyline. It was nice. I guess they're just human and can have bad days like we can. The difference is most of us aren't in the public eye like they are.

When we went to SSW in 2006 the stars came out from a backstage area by the Backlot Express restaurant. They didn't do that last year because Disney put the Jedi Training stage right there. Does anyone know where they enter from backstage areas now?

We got to go to Kassie DePaiva's (Blair on One Life to Live) fan club breakfast in Nashville on June 7th. She was really sweet, talked to everyone, and got the entire room to sing Happy Birthday with her to my dbf. We will definately be going back next year!!

We moved our trip to October this year to meet some friends when we were in WDW. On the way home from Nashville Bill said that we should try to go for the weekend in November for SSW.

When we were at Disney the weekend before last for Bill's birthday, we booked the bounceback offer for SSW!! I can't wait!!

I usually saw them come from the photo opportunity area across from Star Tours and also near the Backlot Tour, behind the scenes in between the usually closed off section that was open for guest flow. It's hard to describe. Basically the area behind Streets of America and near the three autograph sessions set up where the AFI showcase and Backlot Tour loading area is.

Yeah, there's multiple backstage areas that they use at DHS for SSW. Basically though, once they're backstage, they can go back into the park in any one fo the backstage doors depending on what they're coming back out for. Same when celebrities go to Epcot or DAK. Magic Kingdom is the only one that's different. When they visit MK, they usually walk through the tunnels underneath the park.

Nothing new...except I just got back from my 2 week trip to LA for General Hospital FCW!
