Super Goofs Team 4 Miles Challenge

Well that seals it. I will sign up tomorrow. Okay, Kristi, your turn!!

6.5 miles for me today (4.4 in 65 minutes on the TM). Everybody's doing great!

It sounds like you have a great WISH showing at your upcoming event!

I will sign up for Great Bay by month end. I have to spread out these registration fees.
I am going to mail my application for the WDW half today since it hit 65% already and I am getting nervous.

And if I am doing Great Bay, I am 99% sure Chad will be joining us.

Angie
- you in with us? I really didn't mean to scare you that bad about the hills! I just was not prepared at all last year since I mostly train on the indoor track. I am going to incorporate short midweek walks on the TM with incline this time around.

I have Fitness Yoga tonight. I will report in once I finish class.

Good morning Goofs.

Just thought I'd stop by and say hi. It's so fast paced over on Hakuna Matata and so restful over here. Y'all gonna wake up today princesses.

Pesky Panda:yay:

We need a secret handshake or something. That Panda keeps sneaking in!

I haven't done a thing yet today but I will soon. Just wanted to say WOW!!! to everyone and great job.

Go super goofs! BBBBBBOOOOOOOO to Blisters!!!! :headache:

It is cool to see so many that wouldn't have done a thing do a LOT because of the support here.

Gotta get myself going today too!

still not sure on the Great Bay, I'll see how the Half at the Hamptons goes this weekend...if I dont think I can do it, maybe I'll come and scream team for you guys!

2/5
2.75 miles/42 mins

shoveled for 1.5 hours (and it was heavy wet snow...ug, more coming tonight..theres no place left to pile it!!)

question...I have one big blister that there is no way it will be healed for Sunday, what is the best way to wrap/tape it so it doesnt get any worse? It is on the side of my foot, wrapping around to the bottom and heal. (told ya it was big!) AND, a smaller one that is (sorry if this is TMI) empty, but there is a bubble of skin that hasn't torn, should I remove the skin, or tape it too?

It's great to see what a little motivation (and guilt) can do...everyone is getting in their miles/time even when they dont feel like it...we are the BEST!

oh yeah, let "Peeky Panda" keep hanging around here with us...then he's not getting in any miles/times for his team...

So, Panda, what's up? Have you been keeping busy? Tell me a story...a long one....

:rotfl: Good Point

*putting some body doubles in our place so we can stay movin while Panda talks*

My running group meets tonight- fun way to get some extra miles and times in- can't wait! Also rode for 1.5 hours today.
Post later!
Have fun- more snow for tonight- am I ever going to get to run outside?

I ran outside Monday becaue I knew I would not be able to again this week. Not due to this sicky yuck that I have but due to the snow. It will be next week for me off the TM also. Today is my off day and it is probably a good thing. I cleaned the house this morning and totally took a nap this afternoon.

They (meaning the Great Panda) have decided that any sport you play is counted as time worked out, such as Laurie's hockey. It has also been decided that house cleaning does not count as it is not constant motion. Obviously other people clean differently than I as once I set in everyone vacates the house for fear of being thrown out!! Anyway, that is the latest on the rules.

Angie: I have never had a blister (knocking wood) so I cannot tell you any first hand advice. This is my second hand advice though. At the Pop meet, Kim (HockeyChic) had a mega blister on her foot on the arch similar to yours. He told her to get the second skin type bandages and cover it completely with those. I don't know what to tell you about the pressure. All Kim said after the half was that after it broke at mile 8 life was much better. Makes me shiver just to think about it. Good luck at Hampton this weekend and PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE come do Great Bay with us. I promise to stay with you this time!!! :upsidedow

Okay, done deal, I am in for Great Bay. My calves are crying already!!!!!:lmao:

Yeah Princessrunner for doing Great Bay. We will have to get together! Please remind me again who else is going.
My ipod malfunctioned during my club's get together last night. I ran for an hour and am going to estimate 4.5 miles.
Kids have a delayed school opening today. I was going to go to the gym and take some type of class but that doesn't look like it's going to happen today. My left hip is really sore so its probably just as well that I take a day of rest.

I think Kristi and Chad are and I hope Angie is. As it gets closer, I will PM my cell to everyone so we can find each other. Hey, we are a team right!!!!

I want to put a special shout out to Escape (Susie) hoping for the best and that none of the storms came close to her family. Susie, are you out there??

Hi Everyone -

Oh I have been one whipped puppy for the past two days. I don't know if it was the cross training or running on sore muscles, but my muscles have been screaming.
I am going to get out there and try to run today but I am not sure I will get too many miles in.
I am so jealous that all of you are going to meet and do Great Bay together. Be sure to take pictures for me!

Angie - I haven't had any blisters but my girls have. They had sucess with the blister band aids. They are waterproof and seal all the way around. You put it on and leave it on for a couple days. I heard they worked very well.
Cecilia

Yesterday I did Power Pump for 55 mins and 5 miles on the bike in 28 mins (so, total for yesterday was 83 mins)
