Hi everyone we will be joining you on the cruise. It's our first. We are Elizabeth, Tanya, Sherry, Bram (10) Claire (10). We are from Newfoundland Canada.

OK, I have pretty much figured a way out to split once we reach the cut-off date so that everyone should be happy and able to join the fun without the stress, but I need to hear from everyone to know how they feel. Split or be on all, so that I can have total feedback on each participant.

I have noted all that have responded on this page of the thread. The ones that I don't see on the thread in the next few days, I will send a PM so that once the date gets here I can get the lists done ASAP. I can make this happen, but I need responses!

I'm still on the fence on whether to split or not. I'm leaning split at the moment as I have ordered supplies and only have enough for 72 children and we have now surpassed that number.

There is a list that is distributed to every one that chose to join on the Fe Group. It is up to you on how you want to give gifts. For all of the FE's I have been a part of I have received all different combinations. we have received a gift for the whole stateroom. and my wife and I have received a couples gift and the kids each of the gift and then we have all received individual gifts. If you google Disney FE gift ideas you will get results back with tons of ideas stories etc...
You pass your gifts out during the duration of your cruise. There is no set time to deliver your gifts. There are Deck layouts online of the ship which I suggest you have one and a spare so you know exactly where you are going relative to your location on the ship. I am sure when the list is closed on Feb 4th someone will post the ideas that they use that help them out. We usually try to deliver a deck or two at a time. and a map is extremely helpful.
On another note this is a pretty big group and from every indication Kathy(twokats) the organizer if the FE is going to split the group for those who would like to participate on a smaller scale. What you need to do is send Kathy a Private Message(pm) with your information on your stateroom. Room number occupants and kids under 17 ages. She will then incluse you on the list and give you access to it and you can start planning and decided if you want to participate in the whole list or split. If you don't have 10 posts on DISboards you are not going to be able to send a pm so if you need to get 10 post just post random stuff and mention that you are trying to get your posts and once you get to 10 you will be able to send a pm. Let me know if you need any other information. I am sure that myself and a bunch of other have the answers that you are looking for.

I am putting some information about FE at the bottom of this post. It is a combination of stuff that I have collected over the years. As soon as you get to the 10 posts, PM me your info and once I send you the list, you can make the decision if you want the whole list or to be split.

We usually rent a car at WDW and drive to the port and turn it in there, but this time my DH did not want to mess with that and is opting to spend a little more to go on the Disney transport so that he does not have to worry with the luggage and all. It is a little more money, but not that bad and he is happy.

The list will probably be split into 3 to get to the smaller number that most of the splits want, so I guess since some want to be on all lists, you could choose to be on 2 of the 3. I will be doing the final numbers as soon as the 4th gets here, and I will let everyone know.

I have only had one person in all my FE groups that put a FE on each room (unless there were two families in the group in each room), but there is nothing that says you have to only have one. But as for me, depending on how I package my stuff, I will only deposit into one of the FE's. That is just me, but I wanted to put it out there.

Now for the FE info. The delivery and amount of gifts is up to you and your budget. Any specific questions, please let us know and one of us will most probably have an answer.


FE Information:

As an extra answer to the FE questions, I am giving a list of quite a few threads I have collected over the year which I have found answer quite a few questions and give a LOT of information. But feel free to question any of us and I am sure someone will have an answer.

It is totally up to you how the gifts are done. Some do a stateroom gift, others do something for the kids in the room along with something special for the adults - the only limit is your budget. Please don't worry if it is not much. I have received many different things from bookmarks, magnets, themed cups and coseys (those things that can go around a canned drink) and little bags of various candies. I have also received things that people have done that were state specific and also country (some past cruises have included new friends from Canada).

I have found a lot of threads on the DIS that give great ideas for the FE and gifts plus magnets.
These are the ones I follow and believe me there is a lot of great pictures and information. Be prepared to spend a lot of time on these.
