Super Cheap to Free Hotel At DisneyLand

We have choices when it comes to situations like this and I mine is too have as much grace as I can (We shall see if I succeed in doing that).

If they don't help you then let them know you are posting about it online and that word of them not helping a vet will get around very quickly.

Well thats what i would do. I know if they don't at the very least hold your payment for a later vacation that I will never consider staying there.

I disagree with the first part there coaches. Anyone who has a change of plans will claim they are in the military. Threatining them online aint very smart either. It could back-fire on Dissers down the road.
Holding the rooms for a trip in the future would be the prudent thing to do.
 
Well, the GM went home for the night without returning my call, so I will call back tomorrow. However, the evening manager said that they may be able to give us a credit towards a future trip. This would be very generous and nice of them. We don't actually need a refund if we could recoup our money in the future and go another time.

And just to reiterate...Thank every one of you for all your suggestions. I appreciate all the kind words, thoughts, and PMs.

I would certainly never claim I was in the military if I was not. I wouldn't say that anyone who has a change of plans would, most of us just suck it up, try to sell the reservation or gift it somehow.
I also wouldn't threaten the hotel in any way, that "advice" was not very good IMO. :) And I also agree that holding the rooms for a future trip would be an excellent solution for the OP and the hotel. :)

I think it's karma. You had such a good attitude...this, combined with service to your country, created such good karma that it all worked out for you. I'm glad it worked out!
 
I am so glad that you were able to receive a refund! Under the circumstances I do think it was the right thing for the hotel to do. God bless you and your family!
 
I was going to suggest that you tell them your story and see what they could do. I am glad you got your money back.

I am glad it worked out for you. I had to come find this thread again because I wanted it to end well for you.

I have had very good experiences with BW:PPI. I called them and they honored a lower price on the website than I had booked for even though a day or two was sold out at that point.
