Looking for some ideas for Super Bowl. I am tired of serving the same old stuff. I am sure there are recipes out there that we all would like.
:thumbsup2

I usually double this, for a crockpot:

Chili Con Queso
1 lb. Velveeta
4 oz. chopped chili peppers
1 can chili (no beans)
4 chopped green onions

Cook on low until melted -- about 2-3 hours.

I've made what my family calls 'people chow'. It's also called 'Muddy Buddies'.

1 Box plain chex mix
1 cup (might be 2) of peanut butter
1 16 (might be 12) oz of chocolate chips.
1 cup powdered sugar.

Melt the chocolate chips and mix with the peanut butter.
Put the chex mix in a large bowl or paper bag, add the melted chocolate & peanut butter. Shake it up.
Add the powdered sugar. Shake it up.

Obviously the measurements aren't exact (I'm also going off memory).

Sausage and Cheese Wonton Appetizers

Makes a ton, looks impressive and is very yummy!

One package of wontons. Bake for a couple minutes in muffin tin.
Let cool...can do day before, just put in ziploc bag.

Brown one lb crumbled italian sausage.
Mix with 1 cup Monterey Jack Cheese...shredded
1 cup shredded cheddar
1/2 cup chopped black olives
1 cup ranch dressing.

Mix it all together and stuff in wontons...heat for like five minutes before serving.

Sausage Jalapeno Peppers
3 rols ground sausage
3 philly cream cheese
45 jalapeno chile peppers cut in half and seeded
1 1/2 lb bacon cut into 3rds
1 cup cheddar cheese (optional)

Preheat oven to 375
brown sausage and drain
partially cook bacon in microwave
mix cheese(s) and sausage

Fill peppers with mixture and wrap with slices of bacon. Secure with toothpicks

Place filled and wrapped peppers on baking dish and bake for 20 minutes until the bacon is evenly brown.

(one recipe says they baste the bacon with honey and then bake.

Enjoy.

Buffalo Wing Dip:happytv::cheer2:

Ingredients
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened 3/4 cup pepper sauce (such as Frank's Red Hot®) 1 cup Ranch-style salad dressing 2 cups diced cooked chicken 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, stir together the cream cheese and hot pepper sauce until well blended. Mix in the Ranch dressing, chicken and Cheddar cheese. Spread into a 9x13 inch baking dish.

We use blue cheese, but can be done either way.

We found this recipe in the Sunday paper coupon section years ago:

1 lb sausage
1 lb velveeta cheese
1 can rotel tomatoes

Cook sausage, drain. Cube cheese. Mix sausage, cheese & tomatoes in oven safe casserole dish. Heat on 350 (or so) until bubbly.

These sound a lot like Paula Deen's "Sweet Chicken Bacon Wraps" They are AWESOME. The chili powder adds the perfect amount of sweet heat! We've been known to have them for dinner around here!

Ingredients
1 1/4 pounds boneless, skinless, chicken breasts (about 4 breasts)
1 (1-pound) package sliced bacon
2/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons chili powder
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Cut chicken breasts into 1-inch cubes. Cut each bacon slice into thirds. Wrap each chicken cube with bacon and secure with a wooden pick. Stir together brown sugar and chili powder. Dredge wrapped chicken in mixture. Coat a rack and broiler pan with nonstick cooking spray. Place chicken wrap on rack in broiler pan. Bake 350 for 30 to 35 minutes or until bacon is crisp.

Okay -- if you're looking for a popcorn recipe...LOL...this is great:

Ingredients
7 quarts plain popped popcorn
2 cups dry roasted peanuts (optional)
2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup margarine
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions
1. Place the popped popcorn into two shallow greased baking pans. You may use roasting pans, jelly roll pans, or disposable roasting pans. Add the peanuts to the popped corn if using. Set aside.

2. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C). Combine the brown sugar, corn syrup, margarine and salt in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring enough to blend. Once the mixture begins to boil, boil for 5 minutes while stirring constantly.

3. Remove from the heat, and stir in the baking soda and vanilla. The mixture will be light and foamy. Immediately pour over the popcorn in the pans, and stir to coat. Don't worry too much at this point about getting all of the corn coated.

4. Bake for 1 hour, removing the pans, and giving them each a good stir every 15 minutes. Line the counter top with waxed paper. Dump the corn out onto the waxed paper and separate the pieces. Allow to cool completely, then store in airtight containers or resealable bags.

I bring a similar recipe to alot of functions.. everyone loves it! I use 1 block of cream cheese instead of velveeta. I brown the sausage.. then throw it in a 2 qt crockpot with the block of crean cheese and can of rotel. Simple! Serve it with tortilla chips.

Don't know what it's called but we make cream cheese chili

these are ingredients for a small baking dish but you could double or triple up for a crowd.

1 package of cream cheese
1 can chili with or without beans
shredded cheddar cheese
Scoops chips or tortilla chips (the scoops work best as they don't break as easy)

Spread cream cheese in bottom of baking dish (about 8" x 6")
Pour can of chili on top of that
Top with shredded cheese

Bake at 350 for 20 minutes, cool for about 5 minutes then dig in

I call these "Hot Tots" :cool1:

frozen tator tots
bacon, cut in 1/2
jalepeno slices

Allow tater tots to defrost slightly. Put the jalapeno slice next to the tator tot then wrap the bacon around it. Secure with a toothpick.

Deep fry at 350degrees 3-4 mins or until bacon is crispy.

Serve with Sweet Baby Ray's Chipolte sauce or sauce of your choice.

Make lots. :goodvibes

Loaded fries are always a hit. Just cook frozen french fries as per pkg directions, then top with shredded cheddar, green onions, bacon, and serve with Ranch dressing. Yum!
