Super Bowl Predictions?

Right because "fans" like you are so classy that you can't think of anything better to say when the Pats have success, then to throw insults at them by saying they cheat. Nice...

If you actually...you know...read...you'd see that I in fact gave them a lot of credit. So since you clearly didn't do that, let me repeat myself. Did they deflate the footballs? Yeah, I very much think so. But did it have anything to do with the outcome of that game? Nope, not by a long shot. I think my exact words were that the Patriots mopped the floor with the Colts...it wouldn't have mattered if they had used beach balls or hockey pucks. The Patriots demolished them. Same with the videotaping scandal. Did they do it, yes, I think it's clear they did. But so did other teams, and I don't think it had a lot...if anything...to do with the Patriots success. They've been great because they've earned it. So in fact, my opinion is that while they have tried to bend the rules, the fuss over that part is downright silly, they have earned every Super Bowl trophy they have. But you know...you would have had to read my posts to actually notice that.

As for the game, even being an Eagles fan aside, that had to be the most entertaining Super Bowl I've ever seen. Like two heavyweights standing in the middle of the ring just throwing hay-makers. What a battle. I will be forever amazed at the poise Foles showed, I never thought he could do what he did during the playoffs. Aggressive play calling by Pederson and the entire team kept fighting. Simply amazing. :cool1:  :cheer2: :bounce: :dance3:

Oh, and yeah...the city of Philadelphia is still standing.

That was stressful.

And maybe I do think the Patriots cheat because I'm jealous. Or maybe they cheat. Or both. Both is also an option.

But has been pointed out repeatedly, they aren't the only ones who ever cheated.

But I can say this. I'm never going to complain about them again. Not once.

You still say they cheated that's all I said. You gave the Pats credit, but couldn't help yourself to say they cheated even though you said it had nothing to do with their wins. That's all I'm saying. You do know that 2 of the Eagles TD's shouldn't have counted don't you? On the TD that Foles caught the Eagles should have been penalized for illegal formation. It was even tweeted out at the time with a picture of the wide receiver who wasn't lined up correctly. Then on the TD catch were the running back goes out of the back of the end zone everyone in the world could see he never had possession on the ball. It was moving the entire time he was in bounds with it, but the replay official didn't see it that way. I haven't heard 1 talking head today say that they thought it was a catch. If the Pats got those 2 breaks the entire country would be in an uproar, but when it goes against the Pats it's all good. My point is how would you like it if I said the Eagles victory was tainted by the refs? I wouldn't because I credit the opposition when the win. Sometimes your team gets the breaks sometimes they don't.

Congrats enjoy the win. We Pats fans remember how much it means when you go years without a championship.

Duck, I have to ask you as an Eagles fan. What do you want the team to do about QB now? Do you bench a Super Bowl winning QB and go back to Wentz, or do you stick with Foles? What a predicament.

You go with Wentz. He’s our quarterback. But foles May get a statue outside of the Linc!!!

I respect that, but I doubt Foles is going to be happy as back up anymore. Reminds me of when we got Tom Brady.... Drew Bledsoe was out with an injury and Tom took us to the Superbowl!

I don’t know what the team will do or what foles will accept. He was going to retire but didn’t because he got to come back to philly and play for Doug. He was really down and out about the NFL.

I am super happy for him then! I will be interested in where he goes from here!!

I wouldn’t be surprised if he says i play in philly or i retire. It seems to me that he’s about his and his family’s emotional well being above everything else.

You have to go back to Wentz. He's shown the potential to be a long term franchise QB. If he hadn't gotten hurt, he would have been very much in the running for MVP. Foles played out of his mind and he's owed all the credit in the world, but Wentz is their future. Foles has one year left on his contract. He'll certainly have trade value...lots of teams need a QB. However, there's no guarantee that Wentz will be 100% ready by time the 2018 season opens. He should be, but far from a certainty. My guess is that they'll hold onto him for a good while until they see how Wentz is progressing. From there, who knows?? Maybe they'll keep him, as it's a heck of a back up plan to have. But if someone offers a kings ransom... If they do keep him, Foles will have to make a decision on what he wants to do. He had talked about considering retirement before he went to the Chiefs. If he really wanted, he could retire today, buy himself a permanent home in the Philadelphia area and live the life of a hero for decades to come. Or maybe finish out his contract in Philly, because I think he gets something close to $10M next season, then retire a hero and stare at the statue they'll make for him.

I think an equally interesting question is what happens in Boston next season? Does the band stay together? My guess is yes, but interesting to see what happens.

I heard Arizona and Cleveland could use a QB.

I don't see Brady retiring on a "down note" if you know what I mean. McDaniels and Patricia are already moving on... so there will be new "blood" in the organization. I am excited to see how that comes together next season. I saw a report that says Gronk is unsure if he will play next year.

Nope, they'll always remember this as the day Belichick's ego cost the team a title by not playing their best defensive player.

So what is the New England press saying about that? What was the story there?
- Philly girl who hadn't even heard of the guy until the super bowl, but is intrigued by what is clearly a big story
