Super Bowl party ideas

AT the SB party we attend, we do lots of finger food - hotdogs steamed in beer, subs cut into small pieces, chips and dip, deviled eggs, tortilla chips and taco dip, pepperoni, cheese, crackers, sausage that are ready to eat, potato salad and macaroni salad. We have other stuff too that I am forgetting.

We play a game during the SB. It is a fun game but hard to describe. We also play cards.

Our SuperBowl Party is also DS's 5th Bday Party. We will have for apps: taco dip, lots of chips, Pretzel Tray from the Philly Pretzel Co., little pizzas, pigs in a blanket, & buffalo chicken bites.
For dinner I will have all superbowl themed food: chili, fried chicken, subs, salad, and might order a tray of pasta.
For dessert we will have Bday cake and I make awesome sugar cookies iced to look like each teams helmet. They are always a hit! If I can muster up the enery I might get out the chocolate fountain...it's a lot of clean up!

fat guacamole devils:
* 2 hard boiled eggs
* 1/2 avocado
* 1 teaspoon tabasco (or more to taste)
* 1/2 teaspoon lime juice
* salt & pepper to taste

Peel and halve the eggs and spoon their yolks into a small bowl.
Mash the yolks with the avocado, tabasco and lime juice; add salt and pepper to taste.
Refill egg white halves with yolk mixture, and enjoy!

It is really easy. We have an electic frying pan that has a 1/2 inch stand-off in it. We put the beer in the bottom and the hotdogs on the stand-off. We steam them for a while. They take on a very mild taste. Everybody likes them.

As far as games go, the 6 kids that come to our house, ages 5-9, always enjoy making big posters to root on their team before the game starts! My son has a collection of sports figures, so he decorates the mantel and table with some of his football ones. We also have two football helmets (kids dress up toys) which I wash and line with napkins and fill with chips.

Yes but it is much larger so the hotdogs can are all flat and on one layer.

It's Alton Brown's Homemade Pretzel recipe - big soft kind like you get at the mall - and I make them into bites instead of whole pretzels...

First of all... GO COLTS ! Second... I think has to be the food ! Our menu is:

Homemade pizza (even the crust is homemade)

Buffalo Chicken Dip (there was a recipe that had Frank's Red Hot in it and ours is similar but has Blue Cheese dressing and Mozz. Cheese instead) - VERY good by the way!!!

Lil Smokies wrapped in Crescent Rolls drizzled with 3 Tbsp Brown Sugar, 3 Tbsp honey and 3 Tbsp melted butter. Bake until golden brown. This is VERY good!!!!

Of course... what would be a party if there weren't meatballs there???

All of this topped off with a lot of Diet Coke!

Gumbo for lunch and roast beef po-boys during the game for dinner - at half time of course - hopefully we won't want to miss a second! Of course this is New Orleans comfort food - hopefully will not be needing comfort!!!!
