And Phillip Rivers is a great QB on practicly the same team Brees wasn't great on.


And ok Brees has a had some great seasons since joining the Saints according to numbers, but looking at numbers before that he didn't have such great seasons. Also, you posted stats way before I said that. I just said that this afternoon and early this morning you compared the 2009 numbers.

And if you don't want to look at numbers, then Eli Manning should be in this discussion with Brees and Peyton Manning right now. Eli had his best season in 2009 with 3 rookie recievers. And, a lot of times the recievers dopped balls and failed to stay in bounds. If Eli had the same recievers Brees and Peyton does then I think he would have put up amazing numbers just as good as Brees.

Hmmm...I would have to say the bond between the Saints and their fans has made the team rise to a level they may not have- the Saints believed in N.O. after that natural disaster some think should not be mentioned but TOO BAD...the fact that the Saints are playing for an entire region rather than just for themselves (for example, the sportscaster's claims that Peyton "has" to win this to be considered an elite quarterback ) WILL give them an edge today...

I really don't believe that the fans can give the team an edge. If the belief after Hurrican Katrina helped them so much then why did it take then 5 years to make it to the Super Bowl If the fans push them so much why is this the franchise's first super bowl appearance

The jets and ravens were considered to have better defenses then the saints and look what peyton did to them.
