My son goes to a Jefferson Parish Public school and they haven't said anything about coming late or having that day off. So we'll see.
so does that mean you're not going on a cruise this year and going in a few years instead??![]()

Jefferson Parish has a full day. Their website says they support the Saints but education is more important. I joke that they are not going to be getting that much of an education because the teachers are gonna be too tired/hungover? to do much more than busywork anyhow. But Jefferson Parish seems to think they employ robots. I would expect to see a lot of subs too...
I don't know about delaying or closing schools on Monday here in Lafayette (Louisiana, not Indiana), but some of the churches are cancelling Sunday evening Masses or moving the time up from 6:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. One of the large Protestant churches has cancelled their evening service and has invited their members to go just to watch the game! GEAUX SAINTS!!!![]()
There are 58 posters in this thread using the thread tools. I don't think the 3 quoted above who believe it'll be a blowout by the Colts equate to very many. I think the majority of those posting their predictions here believe the teams are pretty evenly matched and since they were the #1s in their divisions, I think they must be pretty evenly matched. I'm excited for a good game!
I watched the NFL network's rerun of the Giants-Patriots game in 2008 last night. Talk about an underdog! I don't think there was a single analyst that said the Giants could do it. It was pretty cool watching Eli and the Giants take down the big, bad, undefeated Patriots. Never count your chickens, as they say!!
A friend of mine posted this on facebook- Brett Favre's injured ankle and hamstring- NOT for the weak of heart!!! I can't believe he played with these injuries- what a trooper!

I'm just hoping hoping the Colts will win (I graduated from UT with Peyton in 1997...he really is a nice guy).
Honestly, I can't predict who will win. The Saints may be the underdog, but you have to be a good underdog to make it thru the playoffs to the Super Bowl. In the Super Bowl, the winner isn't necessarily the best team during the season, just the best team THAT day.
If it was anyone other than the Colts, I'd be rooting for the Saints.
But...yeah...
Go colts!
Not true, Sports Illistrated actually picked the Giants and I know a few other analysts. While it was the biggest upset in super bowl history, I think it was more predicted then you would expect. Since the Giants had almost beaten the Patriots already, and since they had an amazing playoff run going, they had a chance to beat them.
Actually, I think the Jets beating the Colts was the biggest upset in Super Bowl history. But then, I'm actually old enough to remember that, LOL.
bumping this up because someone bumped up a 2002 thread!

I'm getting nervous/excited/anxious...every emotion rolled into one. I laughed at the Who Dat invasion of South Beach- there are no fans like Saints fans!!!
Did you see the bus Mousie & Abdul came in on?![]()
