The Super 8 (Ketella) price is $50.00 cheaper than the Motel 6 rate for the week.

Which would you choose?

Which is Closer?

I don't know about the super 8 but we stayed at the motel 6 and thought it was good. The beds (2 queens) were comfortable and the room was clean. The water pressure in the shower was awsome.

There were two things I didn't like. Even though the rooms are non-smoking they still have ash trays so we were next door to a smoker who smoked outside the room. Thus our room smelled of cigarettes. My wife bought a plug in air freshener and by the 2 nd day we couldn't smell anything even after all day at the park.

The 2nd thing was the doors on the bathroom were more like closet double doors. They creaked loud and you couldn't lock the door. With a 2 yo that was an issue. The noise woke her up at night when one of us used the bathroom at night.

Oh and it was about a 15 min walk from our room to the main gate of the parks. They do have a shuttle that costs but we chose to walk.

I would stay there again though as it was overall a good place to stay. Very nice staff as well.

I would do google maps and choose walking. That should give you a good idea on walking time.

The room was really nice. From looking at Super 8's website.. Motel 6 was A LOT nicer. See my trip report for pictures.

I don't recall any ashtray or smelling smoke at all.

The PP is right about the bathroom door being like closet doors but the toilet and shower was all the way to another end.. so if you had to get up in the middle of the night I would just leave one of the doors shut all the time. But ours were not loud or anything.

Yea I walked around the first day and saw a few ash trays sitting outside the room on the AC's or on the rail ledge. Our room had an ash tray turned upside down with a non-smoking sign on the bottom of it. I thought that was pretty funny (in a roll my eyes sort of way).

Maybe if we go there again I will bring some W-D 40 to quiet the doors in case they are loud again.
