Sunterra Polynesian Isles?

Has anybody stayed there? I haven't seen anyone mention this place but it looks nice on the Sunterra website. How far is it from Disney? Any info would be appreciated.

Hi Joe,

No way, I cannot BELEIVE I can actually answer a question for someone over here.

We stayed last year (January 25-Feb 1st) in a 2BR unit. It was my parents, DH, myself, and DS (6YO). We did not spend a TON of time at the resort, but it was lovely. The grounds are really nice, the units were very clean, and there was laundry outside on the landing shared between 2 units. (there was no one next to us, so we did not have to share. ).

I thought the location was GREAT. I don't think it took us more than 10 minutes to get anywhere on Disney property.

One of the pools was closed when we were there, but the one that was open was plenty big, heated to almost be as warm as bathwater, and very clean and well kept.

There is a guard/gatehouse at the entrance, and they actually did check to make sure we belonged. They finally recogized us and our rental the day before we checked out.

The sales office did call us one time to see if we were interested in a presentation. My parents (who exchanged a week they own elsewhere) told them no thank you, they were happy with what they had, and they never called back.

Thanks for the reply. I won a week in a 2br unit on skyauction.com for $250. I'll be going in October and was surprised this resort is never mentioned on the forums.

I don't plan on staying on the property a whole lot but it's nice to hear some positive comments about the place.

I think you will be VERY VERY happy with the resort, especially considering the price that you are paying.
