I just signed up with this site because of these boards and the hope of a little extra $ for my single income family. They gave me $2 just for signing up!

Someone said to be sure to do the daily OTX survey for 0.75 so that's the first thing I did. The problem was that it took me 48 minutes to do the survey. Is that normal?? It was about ice cream and they gave me 5 different brands and asked all kinds of repetitive stuff. They gave me like 6 pages of boxes in which I had to put a number into each depending on what personality they would have if they were human, and other nonsensical things. It was ridiculous!

Are all the surveys like this???? Is there something else on the site that wouldn't take up so much time?

No, not all of them are like that. I got that one before too. But some days you get one where they ask just a few pages and you're done in 5 minutes. So it averages out.

With OTX...make sure you clear cookies before taking it. That survey tracks by cookies, so if you still have the one from the day prior, it will think you already got paid and won't pay you again.

Don't forget to try the Greenfield daily surveys also, with those you have to make sure you always use the same person, info, and email address.

If you haven't joined the sunshine rewards forum make sure you do, there is tons of help there. Check out their Stickies and FAQs, and if you can't find an answer, ask away, they are a very friendly family oriented group!

Good luck! SR'ing paid for my room and MVMCP last trip :woohoo:

How do I clear cookies??? I ate some cookies before I took the survey, does that count?

Click on "tools" at the top of the screen, then click on "internet options." When you do that you should have a box to "clear cookies" under the temporary internet files section. Click on that. It will delete any of your sign in info and passwords (for example, you will have to re-sign in to this site) and will delete the tracking cookies that are currently stored in your computer.

This won't get rid of everything, but it's a good start. To do a more extensive cleaning, sownload cleaner (free download) and run that. Takes a little longer, but it finds and deletes more.

SR is a great site! Enjoy!:goodvibes

Be aware that by doing this you will lose all settings cookies have saved for you on all sites you visit. I never clear all of my cookies because I lose settings and passwords that I don't remember.

I just wanted to say that I joined SR in March and got a little frustrated at first. Reward sites are overwhelming and there's alot to learn. SR has a great group of people and all are willing to help. My first few months were slow, but after reading posts on their boards, asking a few questions, and trial and error, things are really pick up for me.

You may not find it confusing at first, like I did...but, if you do, stick with it, it's worth it!! Good Luck!

Yes, I'm definitely finding it confusing. The surveys take a long time. I have yet to complete one in less than 30 minutes, but I haven't done alot either. There are so many options that I can't figure out which ones I should do and which that I shouldn't. I'm a little overwhelmed. To me, the FAQs aren't alot of help and almost everyone on the forums seem to know what they're doing already.

About these cookies...I still don't get it. Some of you say it definitely needs to be done and some are saying no, don't do it because you'll lose your information. Help!

Surveys can take a while. This is free money - it is going to take time.

Cookies before the survey do not count! :goodvibes I use CCleaner - do a search, it is a free download and works great!

Two options - I have word document with sites I "belong to" I keep my user ID and password. Print it out or back it up periodically in case your computer crashes. CCleaner also has the option to not remove certain cookies. I think it is OPTIONS - COOKIES. It is sometimes trial and error to figure out which cookie is your log in information.

It took me a good 3 months to get the hang of SR. I do daily and OTX surveys and freebies. (no cc required.) I also do limited shopping. I am lucky to use a laptop, so I watch TV at the same time I'm doing surveys and freebies. This helps as I think they credit better if you go slow.

I do one offer at a time, check for a confirmation e-mail, wait until it credits and then clear cookies before doing another. I use Gmail, and change my e-mail about every 2 weeks.

I've made 258.65 so far this year.

HTH!
