Has anyone filed a Trouble Ticket with SR before when you didn't receive credit following a purchase? I read the instructions, but I don't find them clear at all. How do I attach a confirmation e-mail and header? Attach them to what?? It says for help attaching a header, visit Abika or Michigan State University. I visited both, and found no help.

I clicked on "Contact" to e-mail SR directly with my questions. But I got an error message and couldn't proceed that way.

Frustrated, to say the least. It should not be this hard.

I use yahoo for my email.. I can talk you through headers with yahoo.

I don't have a trouble ticket up in front of me, but just fill out all of the information. At the bottom there should be a large box to type stuff into..

here's where you put your email.

In yahoo mail, at the bottom of the screen, all the way to the right, there is a link for "Full headers". Click that. Then, copy and paste your entire email, with all of the info at the to (to, from, ect) into the trouble ticket box.

That's all there is to it.

Good luck.

Headers:

Outlook - Click on your message in your list (not the preview pane, but the Sort by date, etc list). Right click...Options...the Internet headers. Copy that and paste into the above mentioned TT box. Then copy the body of your email and paste also. Kind of a pain in Outlook as you have to copy/paste 2 separate things.

Outlook Express - Right click on message in Sort list...Properties...Details tab...Message Source...select all the copy, paste in above mentioned TT box.

Gmail - Click on the message...there is a little blue arrow in the upper right of the message...click that and a menu will appear below...select Show Original....select all the copy, paste in above mentioned TT box.

The reason they need headers is b/c it will show the path, date stamp, ip etc

It should look like this (w/ different info of course):

Plantlady and cglaura, thank you both so much! Both of your replies were really helpful. I just filed the trouble ticket, which wasn't hard at all once you guys pointed the way.

Again, thank you! :)

I had a trouble ticket 1x & copy & pasted my e-mail as proof of my order. Note: It was never resolved & Sunshine Rewards said the vendor would not pay the site. It was through Omaha Steaks. Good luck.

Moving this over to the Rewards Forum. There are lots of experienced SR members there and Sunshinegirl (Tricia) posts there are well.

I apologize that we have to make people jump through hoops to get us the information. The good news is that when we have all of the information in front of us, we are MUCH more likely to get the money from the merchants. (shopping more than offers) And the header thing is a request from the merchants before they will look at the disputes. Some of them will look at them without them, be we just err on the side of caution and have everyone submit them just in case.

Hopefully as our industry weeds out the bad seeds (like spyware programs and bad toolbars), rewards sites will have less and less transactions that do not come through automatically. That will make me, Kira, Dmitry, etc. all very happy!!
