And your trip will be here sooooo sooon!!!!

Day 2 – Sunday, May 1 2011
So now that we have gotten the arrival day plans done (and they are in rough) its time to move onto our first park day!

Timeline
7:30am – Grand Floridian Café (Breakfast)
Park – Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Lunch – Backlot Express
5:50pm – Cape May Café (Dinner)

We are never entirely sure if we will be going to a park at night. This is more of a decision that is made last minute, as in we will have to see how we all feel after eating at the buffet (Cape May Café). But this is something that will come up later on in this update. Let’s focus on our plans for today!

So my mom and I will go for a walk while we wait for my dad to get up and get ready for breakfast. We always do the walk between the Polynesian and the Grand Floridian. However this time it will be the walk between the Grand Floridian and the Polynesian. This is because we are not staying at the Polynesian this time, so our walk would be reversed in comparison to years before.

So after our walk we will wait in the main lobby for my dad (or maybe in the Grand Floridian Café lobby depending on which building we are staying in). We love the Grand Floridian Café, a lot, which explains why we are eating there so often. I think this morning for breakfast my mom and I will split the Citrus Pancakes and I’m not sure what my father will have (either the Maple Vanilla French Toast or the Citrus Pancakes).

We’re hoping to be done breakfast by approximately 9:00am. Which should not be difficult. We would like to get to Hollywood Studios at a reasonable time so we could get a fastpass for Toy Story Mania. That ride always looses its fastpasses before lunchtime! I’m really happy that we are going to DHS for our first park. Mainly because its an amazing park, but also because we get to ride the tram (which makes everything that much more real).

- Side Story: I like to watch WDW transportation videos on Youtube. I don’t know why but it makes the magic come to wherever I am.

Here is our rough plan for the day of what we would like to do and places we would like to go/eat:

- Backlot Express (meal)
- Backlot Tour
- Great Movie Ride
- Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular
- Muppet Vision 3-D
- Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster Starring Aerosmith
- Toy Story Midway Mania (i.e., either fastpass or stand-by line)
- Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
- Walt Disney’s One Man’s Dream

Now we do have two days at DHS, so half of the “Must-Sees” will have to wait till the second time around. I’m not sure about our ride-by-ride plans, its more like a “let’s wait and see”.

Our dinner is at Cape May Café Buffet! It’s for 5:50pm which gives us plenty of time for travel and for being at the park. We don’t necessarily have night time plans, it depends on what we will be doing after the buffet and how we feel.

There are 10 days until the trip!

Day 3 – Monday, May 2nd 2011
Today we will be going to Epcot. There is plenty to do at Epcot, especially during the Flower and Garden Festival. Let’s take a look at our schedule for today!

7:30am – Grand Floridian Café
Park – Epcot
1:30pm – Les Chefs de France
4:50pm – Garden View Tea Lounge

The things we would like to do at Epcot

- The American Adventure
- Club Cool
- Innoventions
- Living with the Land
- Test Track
- The Seas with Nemo and Friends
- World Showcase

I think there is other stuff that I am missing though. But a lot of our time at Epcot will be spent looking at the Flower and Garden Festival. We like Les Chefs de France, but I don’t think I’m going to order off the “Fixed Price” menu because they put up their prices. I don’t know, maybe I’ll get the Macaroni and Cheese. I cannot possibly decide right now (although I would like to). It depends…it all just depends.

This was taken on our morning walk from the Polynesian to the Grand Floridian!

There are 9 days until the trip!

Looks like you're going to have great weather, I am so jealous! :goodvibes

:welcome:!!! I know that you have posted on my PTR before, but still it's a pleasure to have you reading along!!!

The weather seems to keep changing, one day it will say "Rain" and the next day it will say "Brilliant Sunshine". Lesson to be learned - Weather is not necessarily something that can be predicted.

Yes, but in Florida at least "rain" typically means "sunny except for the hours of 1-3pm". :lmao:

I am of the "look out the window" forcast myself. They never get it right here in Virginia!

I'm a little ashamed to admit this but when I look at the forecast I get extremely confused. These temperatures do not mean anything to me (hehe). I need something that says like "It's cold outside" or "It's extremely hot outside". I need it in letters not numbers :lmao:.

But the probability for rain is like 8% for the days.

Day 4 – Tuesday, May 3 2011

It’s finally time to go to the Magic Kingdom. Now the list for the “Must-Do’s” will be quite long, in comparison to the other parks, because there is a lot more rides at the Magic Kingdom. Although at the other parks the “attractions” actually translate also into the atmosphere of the park and the theme of the park. But let’s take a look at the timeline:

7:50am – Kona Café
Park – Magic Kingdom
1:20pm – Liberty Tree Tavern
Dinner – Earl of Sandwich

We used to really enjoy eating at the Kona Café, but after an experience last year, we switched our favorite breakfast restaurant to the Grand Floridian Café. We thought that we would try the Kona Café once again. We also wanted to eat at a place that was close to the Magic Kingdom, that way we would be able to eat breakfast than head right over to the park.

So let’s take a look at our “Must-Do’s” for the Magic Kingdom:

Adventureland:
- Pirates of the Caribbean
- Jungle Cruise
- Swiss Family Treehouse

Fantasyland:
- Peter Pan’s Flight
- The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
- Snow White’s Scary Adventures

Frontierland:
- Splash Mountain
- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

Liberty Square:
- Hall of Presidents
- Haunted Mansion

Main Street USA:
- Walt Disney World Railroad

Tomorrowland:
- Tomorrowland Transit Authority
- Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin

Now of course we do have two days at the Magic Kingdom, but we also like to do things more than once. We’ll see how much time we have on Tuesday, but at least we are eating inside of the park. That means that we will be able to eat and then get back to some rides.

We are trying Liberty Tree Tavern this time because we never have really eaten at a sit-down meal restaurant in the Magic Kingdom before. We’ve tried Liberty Tree Tavern before, but we decided that we would give it another shot. My dad has never tried LTT before, so we are hoping that he enjoys it.

We are also looking forward to eating at the Earl of Sandwich. Because of our prior meal plans for dinner, I am pretty sure that this is the only time that we will be eating at Downtown Disney.

Your pictures are beautiful, as always!
I'm enjoying reading your day by day plans, your trip is shaping up nicely! The weather is sounding great, and the time is going by quickly!! Before you know it you'll be there:woohoo:

Thank you!!!!!

I remember last year when there were only 7 days left until the trip I was dancing around in circles listening to Disney music.

Does anybody else have anything that they do when there is only a short amount of time left until their trip? I'd love to hear it!!

Now isn't this funny. I am getting this weather from AccuWeather. Ok fine. But I checked the Weather Channel and its saying something totally different. Like 10F difference. I don't know who to believe or who to look at anymore. It's really strange. :hippie:

Day 5 – Wednesday, May 4th 2011
Today will be our second day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Our plans are not that different for today, except for where we will be eating. We do not necessarily have lunch plans, so we will see where that takes us. But let’s take a look at our plans for this lovely day!!!

7:55am – Cape May Café Buffet
Lunch – Sci Fi Dine In or Backlot Express
4:50pm – Garden View Tea Lounge

Our plans for today will start off at Cape May Café Buffet for breakfast. We had a plan to go there last trip, but we cancelled it and went to the Grand Floridian Café instead. I’m excited for this breakfast buffet; we’ve eaten here before (a few times).

Here are our plans for Hollywood Studios, although it is the same as the last update. I’m not sure which rides we will be going on for our first time at the Studios, and the ones we go on during the first visit will affect the rides we go on during the second trip.

- Backlot Tour
- Great Movie Ride
- Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular
- Muppet Vision 3-D
- Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster Starring Aerosmith
- Toy Story Midway Mania (i.e., either fastpass or stand-by line) [x]
- Twilight Zone Tower of Terror [x]
- Walt Disney’s One Man’s Dream

We will of course be going on a few rides multiple times, but others we will only be going on once. I plan to keep track of the rides that we go on each day, and which rides we use a fastpass for. I will be using this information for my trip report, which I hope you all will join me on after the trip.

The rides that we will go on more than once are marked with an [x]. I’m not certain about the other rides, and it depends if we eat in the park that day. I mean it would be nice to eat in the park so we could get fastpasses for Toy Story Mania and use them if they happen to be for later on in the day.

Great pic of the castle. And I like the one of the flags, too! I have a similar one that I took on the Maharajah Jungle Trek.
