So I'm out snorkeling at Castaway Cay just trying to see Mickey before I head back to the ship for the day when I come across a sunken Minnie! In three previous cruises I have never seen this before... Is it a new addition? Has anyone else seen her? Unfortunately I didn't have an underwater camera so I couldn't get a shot of her, but she is really cool, a complete surprise to me, and it was one of the highlights of an already great trip!

Thanks, Marlee70 for the photos! How exciting!! Can't wait to find both Minnie & Mickey this summer!!

OMG! I'm really want to snorkle and I'm so excited to look for these things!!!! :)

Oh, how cute!!!! What a thrill that would have been to spot her before you even knew she was supposed to be there! :thumbsup2

Were is Minnie compaired to were Mickey is at ???

We just came back last week. I was swimming all over looking for Mickey. Finally I asked a lifeguard where he was. He said Mickey isn't in the water anymore ???? but he pointed Minnie out. It was low tide so my DD could see her from the surface. She wouldn't put her face in, she said water was getting in her mask. I would have rather seen Minnie when the water was deeper, but I'm glad my DD was able to see her from above.

Wow.... Minnie was pretty deep when we found her... but DH could stand on her with his tip toes. Sorry Minnie!

The lifeguard told us this week that Mickey is on vacation and Minnie is replacing him for a while...

Minnie is pretty much where Mickey was. All the way on the right side of the snorkeling area, just past the lifeguard stand and the sailing mast sticking out of the water.

I was looking all over for Mickey when we were there earlier this month, couldn't find him. Then DH and DD went back out and came back and told me there is a Minnie. They took pics with the underwater camera but I haven't gotten that developed yet! I will soon and see how the picture came out!

I have been on two cruises and never could find Mickey. Thanks for telling me the location...Now I need to tell the wife that we HAVE TO take another cruise so I can find Minnie:lmao:

Here is a pic my DW took.

Just got my unerwater pics back. Here are two of Minnie at low tide. You can see the surface just above her.

How far of a swim is it to find Minnie? Did you use fins?

She wasn't that far out. I swam all the way out in the snorkeling area, then we found her on the way back in, almost back to shore so no fins would have been needed. But again, that was at low tide. It was probably further out earlier in the morning.

on our May 2006 my husband and I swam and swam looking for Mickey, we finally asked the lifeguard out in the lagoon where he was. The lifeguard pointed and said see the first buoy. We killed ourselves laughing, we had totally skipped it thinking Mickey would be way out. The lifeguard said it needs to be easy for the kids to get to. We had a great afternoon snorkelling and taking pics.

The lifeguard told me that Mickey was "in the hospital."

I didn't find the Minnie, but I was trying to drag around ds8 who was exhausted from trying to paddle his way out there and just wanted to head back to shore.

Maybe next time! ;)

It's not very far out but it takes a while to reach the location without fins, if you have young children the fins can help them get there faster without getting so exhausted, to find the location just go near the lifeguard and ask him, he'll point you in the right direction.:thumbsup2

What a fun surprise! I'll be looking for her in September! Hopefully Mickey will be back from vacation so they can be together! :lovestruc
