Why are polarized supposed to be better? They are recommended for DS's trip to The Keys.

Don't know. Good question. The last pair I bought were polarized, and I have no idea what that means. I like them though.

Polarization cuts down dramatically on glare.

I have used polarized glasses, now bifocal Rx's, for probably over 35 years. I don't think I could wear ones that were not. The reduction in glare is more important to me than the darkening effect. Here is a link to answer some questions.

It cuts down on the glare. My prescription sunglasses are polarized and I love them!

I hope they do something my hubby HAD to have these really light weight glasses that are polorized and he says they are the best!! (For 265.00 they better be!! lol lol )
