Warning: The Patriots will be in the AFC championship game (again). I booked cabana 10 with the hope that the Pats would do it again. I would like to warn any non-football lovers that we will be there and we will probably be pretty loud.

The weather report for next weekend in Orlando doesnt look to great, but compared to the snow here, anything is an improvement.

Probably my fondest sporting-event-on-television memory involves the Pats and the poolside bar at the HRH, back when we always seemed to go to Universal on a playoff weekend in January. It was the infamous "tuck" game; as I am a long-time Michigan fan, and therefore a Tom Brady fan, I was rooting for the Pats, as was the man on the barstool beside me, him being from Boston. My wife - who hates football - floated contentedly in the pool, as I sat drinking Coronas, on a beautiful, warm Saturday evening, watching a classic game played in a near-blizzard ...

I couldn't have enjoyed yesterday's game more. With the Bills not in it, I'm rooting again for New England, and it was doubly sweet to see them shut down Peyton ("Nothing's ever my fault") Manning once again. Of course, I've disliked him since college, when he simply would not stop whining about losing the Heisman to Michigan's Charles Woodson ("But I'm a quarterback! I'm the reason we win!").

So I envy you your cabana. Me, I'm gonna try to convince one of my buddies to drive the five hours down to Pittsburgh this weekend, and see if we can crash that party ...

I rented #9 as a surprise for DH for Superbowl. Cabanas have 19" tv's I was told. Wonder if they'll be doing anything special at the HRH for superbowl? Should be a quiet day at the parks I assume.

Patty - We'll be miss you by one week this year - we head down next Friday - too bad we couldn't be in #9 again and have it be an Eagles/Patriots game - we could have raised some noise !!

Bjakmom, We will miss you as neighbors on Sunday. I hope our neighbors in #9 this weekend will be football lovers too, Hopefully they wont be Steelers fans.

The weather is predicted to be really crappy for Sunday. We may wind up watching the game in one of the bars, it just wont be the same!!!
