Sunday 10/7 or Monday 10/8

I know everyone has their crystal balls out trying to predict these unpredictable October crowds but I'm looking for some opinions.

What day do you think will be less busy, Sunday Oct. 7th (last day of Gay Days) or Monday Oct. 8th (Columbus Day Holiday)?

I'll be there both days, taking a long weekend since the 8th is a Federal holiday. Hawaii public schools do not observe Columbus day as a holiday, I'm wondering if the public schools in California do.
