We have taken 3 Disney cruises and always had a balcony cabin, I have noticed on some people's trip reports that they had sun loungers on their balcony and we only ever had chairs on ours.
Does any one know what class of cabin have loungers or is it more down to luck?

I am not sure what all categories have loungers. I am pretty sure that 4E on the Fantasy/Dream have loungers. These are the oversized verandah cabins. I am not sure how loungers and regular chairs would fit on a regular verandah.

In general, rooms with oversized verandahs will have loungers (or they can be requested). We had loungers on our 4E verandah (extra deep) and our category T verandah (extra wide). I agree with the PP that there would simply not be enough space on a regular verandah.

ETA: So categories 4E, 5E, V (some), T, and R.

Even the flag pole room pics doesn't seem to have one. It is aft and has a large verandah. The closest it has to a lounger (it looks like in the pics) is a chair that the back reclines on.

That's what many here, myself included, are referring to when they use the term "lounger." I've never seen an actual full length lounge chair on the ship -- although I wouldn't be surprised if the Royals have them. The back of a lounger is taller than the back of a regular chair, and as you said it reclines. Very comfy!

On our first cruise on the Dream, we were in Cat 5E cabin 9174, which has a large veranda. It had a full-size lay-down strappy lounge that my DD slept on one night.

You turn them into a lounger by using the side table for your leg extension. It actually worked out pretty well.

Are those lounge chairs available on the Wonder? My father in law has a rare spine condition that makes sitting upright or lying flat on his back virtually impossible.

I tried to arrange for a lounge chair on our Cat 5C verandah and they said no.

I am curious if they have the reclining chairs?
